Yes, choose your guru according to your goals and take those things over that attribute to your goals.
You could try to dress like them, speak like them and copy them, but mostly you don’t want to be exactly like them, so only take over what fits your goals, your personality and your values. Of course also the personality can/will change (with personality is mean what you represent to the world), but it should only according to the values you want to have/represent in the future.
If Stirling is helping you on a topic that is important to you, keep doing what you are doing. If you see it conflicting with something in your life, find out what you want and if needed stop what you are doing and adapt.

With GLM’s influence, I’ve found that it’s much easier to direct energy outward, and deliberately toward the things I want to accomplish (in all areas) without feeling as much constraint of the little voice inside worrying about which thing would be “best” to do, or say.
It’s easier to just do it, and adjust to what IS rather than sitting stagnant in what if. It feels better too.
