@Hoppa : Saint said that close to 90% of Emperor is included in HoM. You’re not going to lose anything by running HoM and not Emperor. You will gain a lot of things by running HoM. It is much more business-oriented and has more wealth scripting than Emperor. Don’t confuse HoM social influence with Stark’s social influence. HoM isn’t about fame. HoM is about forging powerful alliances that you can use for pretty much anything. If you want to be an influential person while staying out of the spotlight, HoM is your sub. If you are attracted to becoming a shrewd business negotiator, HoM is your sub. HoM is also a sub for people who want to build family wealth and legacy. Socializing on HoM is more like a diplomat would do than a rockstar would do. You can be an introvert and be very very very influential.
EDIT: @Hoppa : by “socializing like a diplomat”, I mean staying lowkey and negotiating large business deals and powerful alliances that most people don’t even see because you are influential enough to access the key players and those key players know they can trust you because your reputation is good and you know how to operate outside of the spotlight.
EDIT 2: @Hoppa : Here is an example for you, the Hollywood movie industry. The people who are always in the spotlight (actors and entertainers) are actually the least powerful. The people who actually run that industry are rarely seen yet they’re the ones who decide whether billion-dollar deals are made or not and their network and business connections span the planet. That’s the HoM archetype. I’d rather be one of those guys (or something similar) than being an actor who is always in movie trailers hogging the spotlight.
