Ayn Rand’s book Atlas shrugged is a book about her philosophy… and at the whole centre of the philosophy is the fact that if we all realized that its all about being self centered, we’d have an amazing society where everyone took responsibility for their own outcomes in life, there would be no people begging for charity, and countries would all bloom
Packaged into one of the best most entertaining novels I’ve ever read.

It’s known, though civilization is just a big negotiation of interests from multiple parties. Of course conflict cannot always be avoided, but the mediation is on-going.
