I wonder if Customs work differently than major titles (slower)

I got two new customs, but I feel like nothing much is happening compared to the titles. I do feel like a paragon, but I don’t feel Stark as an archetype as before. I did feel that when I used the title from the shop.

I just wonder because it’s ZPU if it takes more time to show up

How many cores do you have?

In each custom and total in you’re stack?

Stark Core compared to Stark Proper? They can feel different as the core is without a lot of the support scripting.

Paragon/Healing often takes precedence. Physical shifting can slow things down too considerably.

Not all modules get tangible at same time. Took me ~4 months with the last stack of 2 customs til I felt the results of all modules. They will click into place eventually.

Your customs are really dense dude

They’re both maxed out with one having three cores and pulling in different directions (NW, PS and Paragon)

Yeah I guess if there’s more time.
I just wondered I feels like customs work slower maybe because it’s ZPU?

Yeah it’s not my first customs… Before ZPU I had PS and Ge:Mo max out
Also Paragon+ Paragon sleep + diamond

At least for me ZPU works much quicker.

But it is probably not that straightforward.

If e.g. Paragon in a ZPU custom is working better and faster, it is reasonable to assume that it takes more bandwidth than before and leaves even less room for the rest.

Also I started to listen just once a week when usually I used subliminals more

You’re running two 20 modules and 5 major cores across them. That’d definitely unfold slowly. Support would suggest running the wante/paragon/SP solo.

Im with Green. Mine hit quick

Right again. Something MAkh and I have picked up in is tight, focused customs process much quicker. I also build mine around a single major core that I resonate strongly with.

Are you giving things time to breathe? Sounds like you were running the parsgon/seduction for a couple weeks before washing out. A recommended ZPU cycle takes a minimum of 2 months.

I’m taking about 7 days of rest lol, so maybe that’s actually too much.

Yeah, as I mentioned, I’ve run pretty dense stacks in the past too. Before ZPU I had PS + Ge:Mo maxed out, Paragon + Paragon Sleep + Diamond, and DRR in the third slot — and still got through all of that lol.

So I was mainly wondering whether ZPU customs themselves tend to unfold differently. From the replies it sounds like there isn’t really a clear consensus, so I guess I’ll just give it more time and see how it develops.

What are you customs? Like all of it

Same. Have ran customs extensively throughout the years, and never have gotten consistent/fast results with the denser customs. Since switching to 1 core and keeping under 10 modules, they finally started to click. Rather then expanding the custom with entire other cores, highly recommend expanding scope through modules/essence/synergy- for me this solved the “not feeling the archetype” that I also noticed when running multi-core customs/more modules. I also feel it allows you to notice the individual modules more clearly.

That’s fair, This is uncharted territory and we’re probably a few months out from an official ZPU primer. I threw together some Saint quotes that should shed some light into how ZPU unfolds:

tldr, lots of unfolding through self-reflection. If you’re seeing no development’s, time to reflect.

I can’t find anything supporting this claim. @TheGreenMan @MAkh hear anything about this?

IIRC @SaintSovereign mentioned that density is getting less of a problem. But this felt more like a general tendency, not exactly measurable. 3 cores customs are still heavy, still need a lot of time to process, the recon due to the scripting is way less.

Going by the example: If BJs are the goal, IMO Diamond+RotNW is a perfectly focussed combination. WANTED as a 3rd core would mainly add quite some processing time and dilute the focus.

I feel something internally it’s just different than what I used to feel with the titles from the shop like the customs are different now.
I guess ZPU is digging deep maybe?

Look at it this way, major titles are a compressive package where every line is intended to support the goals of the sub.

Customs don’t have those guardrails. It’s very easy to dilute a custom by using too many modules that don’t align with your cores and using core with competing interests. You’ve used dense customs before but they were likely better aligned.

Did you just start listening?

I mean I would give it a couple weeks even a month before you judge it

Yeah true just 2 weeks

I was more interesting in understanding ZPU and the customs are others are experiencing them

There’s nothing wrong with my customs guys relax.

Between the four of us (Model MAKh, Swamp Thing and Florida-San) I’d say we’re seeing strong, satisfying results. We’re also inward focused, esoteric types. This is in our wheelhouse

Sometimes deep changes takes longer.

I do feel the cores work it’s just different very subtle that’s why I meant
