Definitely… good call
I was thinking about a more stable place from the regeneration run, but as a general rule for PTSD, you always start extremely slowly.

Man I forgot about TRE. Dr Berceli has improved that significantly over the years. I was introduced to it in the early 2000s but my life was pretty decent back then and I dropped it after a few months.
I should look at that again because it would be a nice tool to add to my routines.
Thank you for sharing that.
Absolutely and thank you for sharing that. What makes it worse is I have CPTSD and BPD (which BPD is just a BS catchall because they still don’t know how to deal with the more complex issues).
But yeah, I can attest to problems when I started getting therapeutic massages due to stress. Even my Chiropractor warned me of potential effects, but luckily I never had an issue with it with a Chiropractor.
PTSD sucks.
Again thank you for this comment. A quick funny little story. The first part is a quick background. I was raised, in my younger years, by a father who was a full patch member of a notorious biker gang. I was raised in an overly alpha male society for a few years.
So I’m often turned off by most “alpha male” stuff because most is complete BS. I wasn’t used to SubClub yet and ignored ALL status and especially the alpha male stuff. But I kept reading people’s comments about GLM and some things grabbed me so I looked into it and thought, damn this could really help so I went for it and love it.
But I ignored GLM because I was biased and thought it was just fake alpha male stuff. LOL.
Great post and insight.
One point to add in is that with subliminal, we are all consciously choosing the titles we want and need to hear. It is active rather than passive.
Regarding TRE, @Jouissance @Forexpreneur Can you recommend your favourites TRE videos that you have been doing?
Jouissance linked the one with exercises
you do the exercises, then you lay down to tremor (you aren’t the one doing tremoring, the body does it). Only tremor time counts as session
after a couple of weeks, you can drop the exercises and go straight to tremoring
make sure to read this first: https://www.reddit.com/r/longtermTRE/wiki/index/
Yep TRE is the good stuff. Just make sure to take it slow and steady, just like microlooping with subs
To a large extent this is true, but it depends on the modality and tools that the therapist uses. There is a very specific tool (I think it’s being referred to as a modality now) called Memory Reconsolidation that is very effective.
It absolutely gets to the root of the problems IF the therapist is really good at it. There are not enough therapists who are really good at it so I utilize a gentleman out of England for it. I’m in the US so we do it via an app. Problem is, he is quite booked so I don’t get that many sessions with him.
EMDR is very good also but is difficult to find a therapist who is really effective with it also.
But overall, you’re correct and that’s the problem with most therapy. Most are still using outdated methods and the entire industry needs an overhaul with its model.
I’d say the problem with these modalities is that they don’t tackle inherited trauma which you might not even be aware of but it still affects your life
I’d say one should definitely do TRE if they can handle it. And if not, then EMDR and other techniques which are milder but more manageable for highly sensitive people
You really do have to find the right therapist. Unfortunately like most things here in the US it’s greed and lack of healthcare that will set you back. CBT and DBT is the darling of insurance companies because it gets you up and running and back into the machine. They’ve been twisted and in the hands of an incompetent therapist just turn into glorified gaslighting.
Also you’d think people who get into therapy occupations are good people right? Not always! Some like the power trip of being able to control a vulnerable person and get money. It can attract a certain type of narcissist or sociopath.
So I’d def agree it needs a major overhaul. It’s not the one and done solution others with less severe issues make it out to be. It can just as easily drain your bank account and offer nothing in return or make you worse.
Agreed. That’s the thing that got me about DBT and I would ask, “these tools are great but what about lessening the triggers? When do we learn that?”
Of course the answer is, “over time these techniques will lessen the severity of the triggers.” But of course that doesn’t happen because it isn’t working on the triggers like they claim.
One of the things you learn is imaging, which I was already familiar with from competitive sports, so I bought into it. But the catch is, trauma is a very different beast compared to sports. PTSD is the absolute most primitive part of the brain convinced that your life is in danger. That’s like attempting to calm a cornered tiger down with talk therapy. Isn’t going to work.
That primal brain is stubborn and real quite, but it frickin remembers everything
OMG does it ever. And when it wants you to take care of trauma it doesn’t always make sense but it demands it.
There are no triggers or details that no one wants to hear with this story, I promise, but when I was in my early 20’s I started to have a reoccuring nightmare (I promise there are no triggers).
All this nightmare was, was me as a very young boy walking in a hallway towards a door. I felt a presence next to me but couldn’t see anyone. I walk to a door like you’d see in a typical bedroom or room in a home, I reach to open it and I would wake up in terror, sometimes actually screaming but I didn’t see anything and nothing happened. That was the entire nightmare.
Doesn’t sound like much and it didn’t start out instantly happening every night. But it progressed in frequency to where it was almost every night. I became afraid of going to sleep because of the nightmare.
I couldn’t get help either. I was in my super early 20’s. I didn’t have insurance that covered therapy and one therapy session was equivalent to about 12 hours of work before taxes. I hunted around. I made too much money to get help from my State’s Community Health Services.
One asked “are you a drug addict or an alcoholic” and I said “no but if I don’t get help I will be” and honest to God they said “you can can back to see us if you do become one”. WTF?
I’d go so far as to say CBT and DBT can be harmful if your main defense mechanism is heavy intellectualization and limited feeling. CBT has a tendency to frame things as “are you sure that’s an appropriate response for the situation?” Great now I can’t trust my intuition even more lol. And if you’ve ever been early about a crappy situation or person and it all unfolds later after someone told you you’re being dramatic, you understand why that type of cognitive framing can hurt more than help.
Amen to to that. Luckily my individual therapist was very good. After time we worked on that hard stuff and I came to peace with it as best as I could.
CBT has a tendency to frame things as “are you sure that’s an appropriate response for the situation?”
Great point! I didnt think of it in quite those words, but something somewhat similar. Ie it seems to operate under the assumption that your thoughts are irrational, and by making your painful thought more rational you’ll be able to let go of the pain. I think the second half is accurate. The first half, it totally depends on how rational this person is in the first place. Someone like my sister could probably benefit immensely since she’s totally incapable of logical thinking. For those of us who are a bit more grounded in reality, and yet our lives are challenging, idk how helpful it can be.
Exactly. There is a form of therapy entitled Internal Family Systems therapy and it doesn’t agree with the old therapy paradigms of “appropriate” and “inappropriate” behaviors.
It refers to these behaviors as survival responses. It may not serve you in positive ways any more and you want to change them. But instead of labeling them as something negative you view it in a positive light because it helped you survive. May not have been the best response, but who cares? Let’s move past this by learning a new way to respond, one that YOU, as the client, feels will serve you better.
It’s subtle but overcomes the negative internal questioning and blaming and labeling, etc. To me it’s a healthier way to look at things. But damn it’s a convoluted and long process. It’s a great money maker for the therapists, but takes a very long time and a lot of money from the client.
You all will have a good laugh with this one. I’m actually going back into therapy.

I’ve said it before, and even said it in my first post in this thread, therapy has its place. It has its own time. And both are applicable now.
This last year (my 1 year Anni will be Nov 21) I’ve been focusing on my foundation and have used grounding titles such as Dragon Reborn Regeneration, Godlike Masculinity, Summertime (name embedded with Mountain Breaker) [Mountain Breaker], and currently PEACE (name embedded with Synergy:Harmonic Conflux) [Synergy Harmonic Conflux].
The reason why I focused on my foundation so much is one, I knew I needed it and would be the best thing for my growth. And two, there was one particular post where @SaintSovereign reamed a former forum member who kept wanting more titles with “more profound results faster”.
Here is that post: Work On Your Foundation First
I’m adaptable. I’ll admit when I’m wrong. I’ll correct when I’m mis-quoted or misunderstood. I grow. And I become stronger. I also know that there isn’t any way to be perfect. I’m not after perfection. I’m after a healthier me. A happier me. One who doesn’t self-sabotage when life comes crashing down all at once.
l also research like crazy. Doesn’t matter if it’s management. Trading/investing. Self-help, etc. Want proof on here? Click on my name and look at my Read Time in the summary of my account. I’ve been on here less than a year.
I still am no expert on these subliminals. But I’m not clueless either.
Why am I going back into therapy? First off, I’m continuing the subs. They work and work incredibly well if used correctly. I’ve also been incredibly consistent using them. Well, consistent, with all the updated listening recommendations.
Seriously though, I’ve been incredibly consistent over this past year (almost 1 year). I’ve worked the subs I’ve used. And I will continue them.
But the subs have helped ground me to where things are now ready to be healed. But not just any “things”, but fully healing from the love of my life being instantly killed in a DUI accident and the fact that this has been strung into about the most core issue that needs healing, which is Abandonment. It wasn’t abandonment. I can intellectually reason that all day long.
But the subconscious is much more complicated than reason. The reasoning of my subconscious with “abandonment” is that of a 5 year old little boy who already experienced severe child abuse (more was to come), experience death of a very close loved one, moving to a completely different State by his family, losing his Father and then not seeing his Mother for nearly a year.
Abandonment is tied in with finances also. It’s all one big complicated bundle of highly charged emotional “stuff”. I’m smart. I have tons of life experience. But I also need guidance. These subs have helped me get to a point to where I’m ready again for some serious healing and growth. The subs will help with the healing also. I already can tell.
What prompted this? Some of it is PEACE, for sure. Some of it is because of the other subliminal work and titles from Subclub. I started to have specific dreams. Started to have certain things pop up. Memories. Feelings. Etc. Than I had a dream of my partner who passed away.
I woke up thinking my partner was next to me, and I rolled over to snuggle and gently kiss my partner and realized it was my pillow. I sobbed quite hard, but then had an overwhelming calmness. Acceptance. But a feeling was there and when I examined that feeling (a familiar, but older feeling) it was the whole abandonment thing.
A bunch of other stuff came up, all manageable by the way, but it was obvious to me, this was more than I can sift through on my own. So I contacted my previous therapist. I start again next Friday.
Much respect.
Thank you.
