This isn’t really horror. More suspense with a twist.
This is the first and only foreign language film to win best picture at the Oscar’s. It’s also probably the last truly great film I’ve seen in terms of its release date in relation to now.
I highly recommend this film to those who haven’t seen it.
In 2019, Parasite was the best movie I ever watched. I remember I refused to watch it a first because I didn’t want to watch a movie with subtitles. Beautiful art. Korean people are really unto something.
I’m sure it’s been mentioned already…

How many of the movies that you listed have remakes?
I often prefer the originals. Just as examples, Conan and IT have versions that were originally made in the 1980s, I think. But you listed many others that have older version. Perhaps you’d like the originals just as much as the newer ones.

An exquisite masterpiece:
RUBICON
First 2-3 episodes meander directionless and the finale ends on a cheap cop-out cliffhanger (cancelled after it), but in between: Some of the finest conspiracy storytelling (comparable to Last Days of the Condor, 70s cold war spy thrillers) and absolutely fantastic acting.
I was not prepared for the amount of cringe I experienced in this show. I can’t even binge it. I’m like “I really like this show, but I don’t know if I can handle another episode” lol.
Binging it probably causes bodily harm.
Never cringed so bad. (And I really like Ricky Gervais and The Thick of It.)
