Good movie or series to watch?

Found it really overrated, could not finish the first one which is a shame because there are lots of them and I love Keanu Reeves. But I grew up with John Woo, and Hong Kong movies.
I will watch the Raid.

After you watch it, please share your thoughts on it if you don’t mind, lol.

I went back in time and watched the first Knight Rider episode. Still holds up.

Obligatory

This freaking movie.

“Shudderingly Funny,” they said.

Couldn’t freaking stop laughing, they said.

(grumbles and walks off…)

Excellent movie. Not a comedy. But parts of it are funny as hell. Others, damned bleak.

Blanchett acts her ass off.

Kind of a quiet movie.

Effs with you.

I still think about this tv series from time to time.

I jumped into it not expecting much. But it’s definitely one of those series that stuck with me for a while. I thought it was really well done and emotionally charged in the best ways possible.

Let’s butcher-summarize every movie like this.

Limitless: loser guy takes pill that makes him successful and smart.

Can’t wait! Still have to finish power. Favorite scène with Ghost and Simon where he shares his philosophy

I had free tickets and watched TMNT in 4d the other day. It was pretty bad lol

I don’t know, hahaha.

The story of Limitless is super exciting to me. A drug that unlocks the full potential of your brain giving you superhuman abilities? In an imaginative context, that’s not boring because it’s far removed from reality. It’s supernatural.

I’m pretty sure I can sell anyone on watching Limitless, without exaggerating.

Try and sell me on Queen’s Gambit, lol.

“A young girl with drug addictions tries to win a chess tournament.”

Even in a butchered-summarization, Limitless is about 1000x more exciting. A pill that makes you successful and smart?

Is Chess exciting? I personally don’t know anyone who finds Chess generally exciting to watch, aside from maybe Bullet or Rapid.

All subjectivity and personal opinion based of course. I’m just going a little deeper into why I feel that way. Lol.

You need to use your fantasy more

A young girl who has a drug problem and sees things unseen by others, and had a rough childhood, created an unusual companionship with bishops, rooks, two wild horses, and an almighty king who has a beautiful queen by his side. Her security ensures eight brave bloodthirsty pawns who are able to do anything for her. Even to beat a mysterious villain with a suit and a Russian accent.

lol the way you communicate is provactive, it makes me feel playful and excited and a bit baited. Just had to share that

I see where you’re coming from! The allure of “Limitless” is undeniably strong because it taps into a universal desire: the dream of unlocking hidden potential and achieving greatness with ease.

Chess may seem like a quiet, contemplative game, but beneath the surface, it’s a fierce battle of wits, strategy, and mental endurance. Chess has long been a rich source of metaphors and analogies in literature, politics, business, and various other fields. Yes, even seduction. In my numerous encounters over the chessboard, I’ve felt a mischievous devilish streak, erupted into spontaneous laughter, and at times, played the perfect jester. Indeed, beneath the game’s stoic facade lies a world teeming with exhilaration

Chess isn’t just a game—it’s a reflection of life’s challenges, relationships, and the relentless pursuit of one’s passion. It’s about conquering personal demons, breaking barriers, and rising to the top against all odds.

The Queen’s Gambit" isn’t just about chess. It’s a gripping tale of resilience, genius, addiction, and redemption set against a backdrop of political tension and gender dynamics. While the allure of “Limitless” is immediate and visceral, “The Queen’s Gambit” offers a more nuanced exploration of human potential and its pitfalls. Both are captivating in their own right
