Glory to the BUILDERS! (Malkuth)

He’s done a one-man show on Broadway in which he just sits on a stage and talks about his complex external and internal life experiences. He’s been through and experienced a lot. So much trauma. And he has an impressive level of awareness. He’s actually a renaissance man and an intellectual. With dangerous fists.

Looks like I’m going to be doing a Mercury Retrograde washout/rest period. 3.5 weeks.

Sounds good.

To The Social Animal by Elliot Aronson, I’ve added one of the other books that I had also determined to make my way through: Influence by Robert B. Cialdini. So reading them both in 5-page sections.

Cialdini’s book is organized around 7 fundamental principles of interpersonal compliance:

  1. Reciprocation
  2. Liking
  3. Social Proof
  4. Authority
  5. Scarcity
  6. Commitment and consistency
  7. Unity

The Washout Continues.

I’m adapting to rowing workouts.

This is something I’ve been aiming towards for a long time, and now we’re finally getting into it.

It has been and will continue to be inspiring to watch the freaking Viking @PizzaShaman on his rowing workouts. I’m sure that must have added a liitle bit more motivation to my own intention. Thank you.

First few times I put the resistance lever up to 10, apparently that’s a noob thing to do. Meh. I’ll probably do it again later. But now, I’ve put it down to 3. Definitely felt easier. haha. I can feel myself still getting used to it. Figuring out how and when to breathe. That helped today.

I always do a set of pushups first. Silly. But I do it. I’ve noticed that my max has dropped a bit. But I’m guessing it’ll start edging back up at some point. Today I did 52. But I know that I did 60 a couple of weeks ago. That is…gone.

Afterwards, I used the leg press. In the gym in the apartment complex.

Feels good to be getting back. Body’s been doing weird, weird things over the past 4 or 5 years. I’ve lost a ton of muscle and strength. That’s okay. We’ll see who we turn out to be this time around.

Take it easy.

I expect to be working out differently in general this time around.

Decided tonight to return to the 100 pushups program that I did years ago. We’ll see.

Last time I got as far as 74 pushups, I think. And I was in my early 40s. 50 this time.

:joy:

If my pushups can keep up with my age, I’ll be happy.

Did the first push-ups workout.

Got them all out.

Looks like I didn’t save it properly. I’ll be repeating the exact same workout in 2 days or whenever I’m not sore.

It didn’t save because that app is no longer live.

That’s how long it’s been.

So …we’ll get another one.

I’m currently working my way through 5 books as well as the material to prepare for an examination (hopefully during this summer).

For all of the books, I’m using the 5-page segments approach.

We’ll see how long it takes to work through all of these.

And it will be necessary to add more, but we’ll do the best we can.

I’m thinking that New Learning Experience and Book Blitz have really shown up to bolster my motivation and action in this area.

Okay. Step by step.

Frank MFin’ Medrano

Always admired what this man was able to accomplish.

Used to see his videos 8 to 10 years ago, and appreciated them because his body type is closer to mine. Made me wish I’d focused more on the calisthenics approach.

Just remembered him, and went back to see where he’s at now. Read that he’s 65 45 now. (my bad. that was a different person with the same name.)

Day 5 of 25 days of just processing and washing out.

Another reason that I like to use the term ‘exposure’ to describe subliminal listening sessions is that it contrasts with the word ‘processing’, and helps me to remember that the stimulus is still processing far beyond the initial exposure session.

So, my most recent session was on Saturday 30 March, but there’s a strong chance that today on Thursday 4 April , I’m still actively processing my programs, and probably will be for some time to come.

VR/AR still has a ways to go.

I have been excited about the concept for 10 to 20 years, and I still look at a picture like this and find it horrifying:

I think that ultimately mixed reality in 3D spaces, and glasses versus helmet interfaces are much better.

But I just got this idea for a virtual, interactive encyclopedia. I think that would be so great.

I looked around and so far the closest I’ve found is

Which is not precisely what I have in mind.

Something is happening.

For now it’s still subtle. I do not see exactly where things are headed. But, I can feel movement and change. It’s leading me to surmise that my mind is successfully processing and integrating my subs.

I’m reading more, as I’ve mentioned above. I’m approaching it more methodically and consistently.

I’m also starting to get 1 or 2 ideas for helpful, interesting, inspiring projects. It feels like it could possibly be the start of a flow.

Same here. You’re feeling it too?

Ditto!

Between 4/4/24 and 8/4/24 (the eclipse), something stirs.

I was just thinking of it as beginning to feel the effects of my subliminals.

I hadn’t thought of that.

I know that the eclipse is coming, but I don’t know very much about its possible symbolic meanings or metaphysical effects.

What I know would fill a thimble.

And what I don’t know, a Cosmos.

But here we are.

Book Blitz and New Learning Experience

I’m now up to page 160 of this book. One-third of the way through. And so I’ve now had opportunities to read through a number of moods and energy levels (e.g., sometimes tired, sometimes stressed, sometimes relaxed, and so on).

I just noticed an attitudinal shift that had a significant impact on my engagement with the text and flow of reading.

If I can identify or build a contextual space of interest or meaning around the reading, my retention and my engagement leap significantly.

A more straightforward of expressing my previous post:

If you can create a sense of how a given idea is interesting, it will help a great deal in learning it.

I’m suspecting that, among other things, New Learning Experience develops, enhances, and ultimately skyrockets your capacity to see things as interesting; to perceive how things are interesting.

(In that way, New Learning Experience is an excellent partner to The Revelation of Mind.)

Another one in the can.

It’s cool because I can actually feel the endurance in my arms and pecs increasing as I work with these more frequent, lower volume sets.

Gradual increase over the next 7 or so weeks. We’ll see.

Here’s the whole program:
