Absolutely agree with you. Alright, so I Googled it and FINRA approved the change but I haven’t found anything about the SEC approving it. That also annoys me.
With Forex trading there are 2 agencies that regulate trading. That’s the CFTC and NFA. Just like FINRA and SEC they can fight with each other, so if one says something and the other disagrees than it’s in limbo. That needs to go also.
Out of all four of those agencies only 1 is an actual government agency (the SEC) the other 3 are private and independent corporations. That shouldn’t even be Constitutionally allowed.
Anyway, if the SEC hasn’t approved lowering the PDT limits than I’m sure they will change their tune very soon. It’s long overdue.

I don’t blame you one bit. What cracks me up is all the BS claims that we’re protected. Seriously? Protected from what? If the broker takes your money and goes bankrupt it’s not like FDIC insurance. You’re not getting that back.
So they’ll fine them and sue them and maybe even jail them but traders/investors would be lucky to get a couple cents on the dollar and it would take years in court.
So, I get it. I’d think about it also if I wanted to PDT with stocks and didn’t have an account large enough.

unfortunately market is not open and from what I can see so far its unlikely I have a good setup this coming week. However.
Really feeling this module.
Had some recent losses and it caused me to loose alot of motivation and momentum. Suddenly the drive is back and is strong. I am taking action far beyond the minimum I need to do for my system.

If you’re looking at stocks, a cash account is “fine” for starting out. Margin only really becomes vital if you want to short, or in a bull market where you don’t have enough liquidity.
Futures have no PDT rule. Just be vary with the leverage there. You get from 10-20x normally on most contracts and some brokers have a “intraday-trading” margins that can get you 400x. Easy way to blow up.

Same, for some reason this week was rough, my execution was great, top tier compared to the last few months, but maybe my entry levels could have been a bit more thought out.
Drive and motivation keeps me pushing forward in the mindset of : OK, what’s next!

What a good way to raise cash for stocks trading?
I have been trading for 10 years but recently had to build my house, get married etc so I have 0 in my trading accounts.
I used to trade leverage but the thought of cash stock trading is so relaxing. But this requires at least 10k usd to get rolling
Any thoughts? Bank loan is currently out of question unfortunately
Trade prop firms…I recommend you futures trading (Trading Nasdaq,S&P,Gold etc)…This way you can raise money to trade your own account

Agreed on this. Once you’ve passed a couple of payouts you’re good to trade with your own account. If you want to milk it a bit, you can trade on multiple accounts at once at milk multiple payouts at the same time. Just check the rules before you do and only use trusted prop firms

@Philemon out of curiosity, when you say LB are your referring to the free one or the purchased one? I was looking at LB (the one you purchase) in my C&C + RT stack (in a few months from now as I’m working on other things) but I was going to start with C&C + RT + Raikov for a round or two and then take out Raikov and stick in LB or maybe something else.
