I think you’re one of the people who didn’t pay attention to Eminem until he became mainstream. People who have been following him since the 90s know what he is about. Go back and listen to Eminem since the very beginning. He has always been consistent.
it is always funny to us when people are surprised by some of Eminem’s actions. They really had no idea whose music they were listening to.
I was actually never much a fan (don’t hurt me)… i know he’s talented… I just wasn’t down with talking about my mother like that lol Music or art for that matter is like religion- it’s personal… you resonate with what stirs you inside.
I like early (non quite mainstream) Eminem better than the current Eminem. He was so different that he was shocking. And no he is not a SJW. Eminem was also attacked by SJWs. He just doesn’t give a ***** about them and they never managed to cancel him. Eminem is really his own man.

For example, as a big wheel of time book series fan, the amazon tv series adaptation of it is so bad that I wouldn’t be surprised if the author Robert Jordan is turning in his grave. And (the Lord of the Rings based) Rings of Power TV show will also be bad based on the trailer.
James Bond was getting worse. Won’t mention the Star Wars sequels.

He is my favorite movie character… I joked that Bond will save 2020… before it was pushed back… hoping somehow Daniel Craig would embrace more than just his character’s name… just one more time! Too much to ask… even he is defeated in the brave new world.
