As anyone already ran a custom without core? Like just with modules. Something that would eventually come out lighter and maybe really focus?

I haven’t. But I asked before and Saint said it would work. And would work best if run right after a regular title or other custom.
I like the idea if coreless customs as they’d be far more stackable with many more other titles.

Oh I thought you meant coreless CUSTOMS. Yeah the name-embedded single-module thing sounded cool too.
With a coreless custom, you could get 20 modules in there and stack with just about anything relevant too.
