I have that in my Stark Black Custom … i also think that is what has really peaked my interest so much more than before
But i am looking for knowledge and advice from those who do programming or coding or most things like that on where i should start and what i could apply it to
In terms of resource/Youtube I think FreeCodeCamp is okay to start.
Programming and coding is quite broad. Think of use cases and what you want to do.
- Data analysis/Business Intelligence/Data Science - Use mainly Python programming language and SQL for databases.
- Website building - HTML, CSS, etc
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) - Python, Java, C++ programming languages
In terms of programming languages, Python is a popular choice for beginners. sentdex is a good Python Youtube education channel.
Those are some things I know from the top of my head. There are a few users on here that are more technical and knowledgeable than I. I used to dabble into data analysis with Python but not so much now.
@RockyHandsome @Plutus @AnswerGroup @Trader @James
Any Advice or direction you could give would be wonderful? Or just any ideas you have or stories
I would do two things.
-
Run nothing but Index Gate
-
One of these two
Both are 100% free.
There is also this
The Odin Project was heavily recommended to me when I first started

I would suggest learning either JavaScript, or Python

Udemy has very affordable courses that take you through everything you’d need to know from beginner to intermediate or advanced (just depends how deep you go through the courses)
These are courses I personally own and would suggest you buying as well if that’s within your budget to do so.
I’m currently working in the DevOps field, where I collaborate closely with both developers and operations teams. Could you share your professional background? What career path are you interested in pursuing? Also, do you have any programming experience?.
Plural sight offer a wide variety of courses on development and they are affordable.
I personally started with a hands on book called “Learn Python The Hard Way”. Not sure if the author has updated the book, but I enjoyed it and learned alot back then. 🫡
I have no experience with programming or coding or any of that… but it has always kind of interested me but never took the dive into it
Right now i do book keeping work for my family’s accounting company … but that is on a shit path to nowhere so i am looking to expand my skills and knowledge on many subjects and different paths i could go down … though in my past i have shown interest in wanting to develop video games and write books
Thank you
I think i am going to look into python first if anything … I did just pick up an audiobook on python so i’ll see how that goes
I’ll look into the one of those… Running index gate alone isn’t on my to do list lol
Thank you
I’ll check it out thanks
Thank you i’ll check the site out and the youtube channel
I used to run Index Gate with OG Stark in a custom. It wasn’t performed even close to how it was performed when I run it out of custom. Just try it a major shop version, you will find it to be very nice. If you want, you may add Beyond Limitless, it should give you a massive boost in productivity and knowledge hunger.
Regarding your question, I’d start it with Python. First, get a solid knowledge of Python, to the point you haven’t to think about 'how can I solve [basic python problem]?". Just like you don’t read every letter one by one when you read a text, but you read all the word entirely at once. Same here: you know basics excellent, you don’t spend time on basic constructions, you spend time on making an algorithm. Programming is literally about building algorithms, through using programming languages. You may know a programming language, but not necessarily know how to programming. Just like you know English, but can you write poems?
When you learn Python enough, you’ll be able to see what to do next.
And yeah, if you want to go into AI, you’d better start learning Computer Science degree level math now. But before you have to know high school math profoundly.
no. no audiobooks. how are you going to learn python through listening an audiobook? no man ever learnt programming through audiobook because it’s impossible, because the only way to learn programming is just programming. more practice, more progress.
forget about books for now, go with YouTube or Udemy courses. you will need to read books when you will have a basic understanding of programming.
I learned a bit of c++ back in the day when Borland was the hot IDE. Then visual studio took over the scene? Didn’t keep pursuing it. Got a degree in computer networking, not even in that field anymore. Been on many different paths since then
Audiobook is a waste of time.
You cannot learn programming without actually programming.
You have to see it and do it to understand it.
I can usually see things as they are being said when listening to books in my head so i don’t think it’s useless but i plan on taking that and doing the work with it… But i plan on getting a a book or 2 on kindle for python eventually and checking out the courses you listed
I appreciate all the feedback by the way
how can you see, say, set comprehension?
Already running a stack that I might consider dwindling next month
And I’m going to happily declining posting my ridiculous stack of customs
But thank you
@SaintSpring idk how to explain it but I can visualize stuff in my mind as I read or listen to things I do it without thinking about it
I can visualize myself doing things in my mind while listening to certain things
Idk how to explain it lol
I’m gonna give the audiobook a listen anyways since I already got it and I’ll check out the courses sometime soon
