yes it was over a even two years ago … now im waiting… a bit of new start and an identity shift you could say, to go along with a custom and a have also changed my profile picture. I have thought about this also would not try and cause unnecessary changes in the forum , if i really didnt want to change it to that exact name … kingofpersia

That’s correct, it’s not about a brand but the fact our name is a part of our identity. It’s only a name but… we people are crazy about names and their “power”. :wink: Nomen Omen.

Edit:
I cannot imagine “vegancheese” being a part of someone’s identity. When it comes to my name, “Voytek” is just my real name, a Polish name that matches me perfectly when it comes to its meaning yet “Varuna” is my “ideal ego”.

Well, I wouldn’t want vegan cheese to become your identity, I suppose I could change it. Still, there might be some people that would get annoyed at somebody calling themselves the king of Persia. The Spartans at the very least. But I guess that’s not your fault. And you are not a prolific poster at this time. Fine, I’ll do it.

Saint did tell me at some point that the subs could drive a person to the feeling that their name no longer matched their personality. Maybe I was lucky to pick an aspect of mine that is unlikely to ever change. Even my callsign was Philosopher because I was always considering the theoretical big questions (I didn’t/don’t like “DP” since people’s minds love going to what it means in porn).

Something to consider in general. When you want to change your user name, or are creating it on a new account, really consider either completely anonymizing it (for example to avoid potential employers or future partners finding your personal lives with search engines) or finding one which identifies with your ideal self and as such serves to direct you to your goal every time you see it (more powerful).

I’m thinking we should probably do name changes using the support system from now on. That way we would have an automatic record of present and past usernames and we could make some rules about frequency/quantity.

@Sub.Zero since I can’t do favorites, your username does have recognition at this time, I wouldn’t know what to do if I stopped seeing it at least a few times every day in my updates. Are you certain this one will stick?

EDIT: Saw your edit. Question remains, are you sure?

yes my last profile picture was my actual Id card so it was messed up from the beginning . i never took it seriously . but then the story goes i had some meditation about this name, And now basically im thinking of moving to Persia to conquer my dreams so it actually does coincides with some aspect of myself …
