Best Indian Dishes

Question for all the Indian folk in here.
@Lion @RockyHandsome
(Please Tag other indians as well, if you know more)

What are your favorite Indian dishes that are easy to cook and don’t take hours in preparation, and don’t use ingredients that you need at least an Indian supermarket nearby?

Reading your recent posts mad me hungry for some delicious Indian food.

My fiancee is quarter Indian, and I’d like to surprise her with some tasty Indian food.

Btw tumeric, garam masala, and some other spices are rather common here as well in 2024.

Veg or non? If non, I am not the right person lol

Hey @Parsifal It’s always refreshing to see people taking an interest in different cuisines, like Indian. Personally, I enjoy lamb or beef curry every day. While I don’t make the curry from scratch, my method is quick and convenient. I simply fry the meat in ghee, add garlic and onions, then stir in a ready-made chicken madras sauce and cook everything together. It’s an easy and flavorful meaL.

It can be ready to eat in 10 minutes i sometimes add rice to the mix but try and avoid eating vegetables.

You can find good Indian restaurant to enjoy, but believe me, Indian homecook meals are at another level.

Luckily there are many indian expats in my country, I have a good luck to eat homecook meal during Deepavali.

I also enjoy small fragrant rice from Bangladesh friend too.

Those homecook meals memory last forever for me.

Not Indian but it is one of my top cuisine.

PALAK PANEER is a my favorite. So much so that there was a time where I cooked and ate it every day. With some paneer; might be better to buy the paneer from a restaurant imo, homemade one might be tricky to get it right

Biryani is a must as well.

Gulab Jamun for dessert

One tip is to grind your own spices and don’t cheapen out on spices and aromatics. Indian cuisine is one of the most colorful cuisine it’s like every dish is Holi from all them colors.

I also recommend shopping at a Hindi grocery store and not from the major stores; they know their stuff better.

Get some good quality ghee. These little things elevate your dish to a new level.
