Ayahuasca infusion

That’s a good distinction. I kinda bundled that in with Focus and Open Awareness, but now that you mention it I agree 100%. To expand on that, the ability to also “get over your ideas” is an important skill. I’ve had the experience, and I’ve read many accounts of people who have seen and experienced things that they “can’t understand” because they are unable to let go of their preconceptions of how things “should be” and what “should be possible” etc.

When you’re face to face with a full-bodied apparition, and it rocks your world, the ability to let go and realize. Wow, I guess I really didn’t know what was going on. Is very important to going deeper.

Since we’re on the topic of meditation, can I get feedback on if this is “real” meditation?

When I first learned the practice, I had assumed that the point was to clear mind so I took this literally. I would close my eyes and quiet my mind and focus on the pitch black you see when you close your eyes. I would not focus on breathing or anything else except the pitch black(I guess this would technically be visual meditation?). If a thought was to come, I would stop it in its tracks and go back to the pitch black.

It seemed to the trick as far as making me present and relaxed, however when I posted about this on another site, a few people told me that’s not real meditation. They told me that “you’re not supposed to literally block out thoughts, it’s more about observing them and letting them go”.

So is this a real form of meditation? I’ve done the other variant of focusing on breath but for some reason its so much easier to quiet my mind by just focusing on the darkness with eyes closed.

Well I kinda want to combine the 2(NOT at the same time of listening while tripping). Ket therapy interests me because of the neuroplasticity effects. I’m wondering if this would help the subs integrate better? I know there isn’t a definitive answer, but I may give it a go.

@ryder004 I’ve tried Ket therapy with subs. It was very pleasant and interesting. Ket made me an observer to the thought process and mindset shift. So while listening to sub I was noticing strong shift in what my mind thinks about and what profound emotions it begins to generate around those thoughts. And they were more aligned to chosen sub.

Without subs I’ve tried Ayahuasca and do not recommend it to anyone - it’s like explosion of random, anything can happen, and you can look at spider Web and this can make everything around you seem like it’s built from Web with spiders. Tried San Pedro and Pejote - and those I’ve loved. Under influence of San Pedro and after ingesting magnesium I’ve played Guided meditation which guided into muscle relaxation. After this one session it was so rooted deeply that whenever I was closing my yes to meditate my muscles were becoming soft and relaxed almost imitdiately and meditation was becoming deep quite fast. Also managed to lift depression and solve unsolvable issues with the help of San Pedro - it felt like becoming best self psychotherapist and problem solver. But i also had a great shaman during this session that talked to me for 3h saying stories, metaphors, lessons… I would not recommend any of those without great guide or therapist.
