Art Thread for Artists

FWIW, I’ve heard of this book completely changing people’s lives, both in an artistical sense but also causing a shift in consciousness as they learn to work with their right hemisphere (something I could use some practice of!):

This book was part of Betty Edward’s inspiration and is very interesting, too.

That first one gives me elder god vibes. Like really ancient beings that have been here before the birth of the universe Earth resides in. Very interesting.

It may have been an ancient god speaking through me when I created this I always pray and ask for guidance and a message to come through my artwork before I start. Thank you for the insight :pray:t4::gift_heart:

Finished this one recently. I was experimenting with excessive amounts of bass lol. So it bumps. Been really inspired by Memphis rap lately. A lot of that is about the character and intent, so less focus on the strict mixing aspect. Sort of a synthesis between that and my more introspective meanderings.

I love the tones on the GarageBand instruments and synthesizers, but I much prefer the workflow and user interface on NanoStudio 2. So, I’m slowly figuring out how to integrate them.

I ended up making this tune last week on NanoStudio. The sounds of the synths feel less organic and also less large and alive than I’d like. But that workflow is superior. Just easier to make what I want.

Does nano studio have midi out? And I hear you man. Comfort and ease is the most important thing when making music. I can hear from your stuff that you understand how to translate ideas into music on an intuitive level using your tools. DAWs can be a major pitfall. Many musicians lost to that abyss lol

This is the first thread I thought of to ask this random question.

@SaintSovereign, was the module art for ‘The Flow’ on the Q store inspired by the scene in Kung Fu Panda that Oogway ascends in?! If not, that’s insane.

This is the tune that was coming into being last week. As usual, it’s not done, not mixed, not mastered.

Started off in one place.

and then for some reason, it took a turn, and I was getting these other rhythms and these other elements in my imagination, and when I played it all together, I ended up with something fairly pop-like.

No verses yet, but there is a recurring chorus. Don’t know what the verses will be yet. At this point in the process, it’s likely to go into hibernation for 6 months. Then later it’ll come back out and some verses will be growing out of it. We’ll see.

Hemp Is Here for Planet Earth and All Who Dwell Upon Her - YouTube I made it for the trees. This is not advertising anything, I’ve just had this big thing for years that ?why aren’t we using it for everything? The music is a song for the Mother Earth.

Nice! I really like the Original Light. It brought to mind someone doing tai chi deep in the heart of the urban jungle.
