Alpha Male- Not your regular thread

Its not a regular thread of the alpha male.

We know about alpha males and we really want to be alpha males. We know all the qualities of Alpha Males.

I have a question for you Alpha Males…

What are the cons of being and Alpha Male?

You have nobody to blame than yourself

  • You are the only one who bears the consequences of your decisions (either it’s personal or professional )

  • You know the saying of (the fail of a successful man is tremendous ) because all eyes on you .

  • you should have a truthful and confident inner circle (that they can tell when you are wrong or going on a dysfunctional way ) because if not you will be blind .

That sounds like a healthy human being in whatever social status your’re in. That is where I started back in the days in my personal development, getting out of learned helplessness.

  1. It’s lonely at the top. You will have friends but finding like minded alphas is not easy.

  2. It’s difficult staying in frame. Especially in the beginning. Maintaining consistency also matters.

  3. Requires shedding a lot of the past during the process of growth. The idea of the alpha male also evolves and gets refined as one matures.

  4. The utter necessity for abundance mentality of money, women and fitness requires lots of learning and practice.

  5. Moving out of the comfort zone on a regular basis.

  6. Shit tests from women and men.

  7. Extreme self-discipline required. Also need to keep rising back up when we fall.

  8. Read, read, read.

  9. Being willing to listen even when we don’t like it.

  10. Accepting reality as it is.

Spot on @Lion and @sid
Your cons are exactly what i see and experience.

I am also struggling with number 1 of @Lion list. It is extemely hard to find like minded or Alphas in society.

I go through a lot of shit tests.

At times especially at work it feels extremely lonely.

Why did Genghis Khan kill his sworn-brotherJamukha? Because “there can only be one sun in the sky.” and his sworn-brother was unwilling to be subordinate to him.

There is also an old Chinese proverb, “One mountain cannot have two tigers”.

Couldnt have said it better @King !

I do agree that it is correct on a fundamental level. Fortunately, it is easier for alphas to cooperate in a global environment where resources and women are plenty and if they both ascend high, there is enough to go round. Especially since a lot of men are giving up on dating.

I agree with this. I sometimes feel like this at work. Not like killing anyone but extremely competitive to a point where i can do anything to beat ths competition.

I just cant get one with some males or mostly all males lol just a small number that i can vibe with.

I don’t believe alpha males really exist unless you happen to be an animal like a chimpanzee who will assert their dominance by killing or raping members of its group or others who enter into their territory.

The exception is perhaps if you are a gangster from Peaky Blinders

This is like the job interview question where they ask you "what’s your biggest weakness?

And then your answer is like

“well you see… it’s really hard being such a high-performer… All my bosses praise me so much it hurts… my taxes are super high because of all the money im making… and damn these girls wont leave me alone its so annoying.”

“So i guess while I’m working here at Alpha-Tech the most important learning point will be to make sure that I accept praise graciously and actually create a savings plan to properly manage all the extra bonuses you’ll be giving me for performance, and of course any extra money you give me to beat out offers that headhunters from other companies start making me when they see your stock rise up 30% a few weeks after hiring me.”

There aren’t any.

If you are an alpha, you wouldn’t want to live any other way.

I have such a good response for this thread, but it would absolutely get me at least a chiding from the mods, so I’ll keep it to myself for now. lol.

PM me its cool.

Isn’t being an “Alpha Male” essentially being an mentally and emotionally mature guy who has their shit together?

@pacman Reminds me that you should ask @Alphamale the cons of being one. He’s got lots of experience we can all learn from and lives up to his user name.
