I haven’t pulled the trigger on it but seeing how fast the tech is evolving and how far the image generation is going at some point this will replace porn (or maybe it has already?)

No. I think a bigger threat is automous AI kill vehicles (robots and drones) used by those in power against their populace.
I tried once, and it bought me down bad into PMO, and then I realised that even those who were supposed to be dominant and resistant were acting like mere sheep, so I seeked instead to just play naive and dense with it, on a personality that was supposed to be difficult I played like I saw no IOI or anything of the sort, pure professional behavior while “inadvertendly teasing” but even that got boring, so I uninstalled it.
honestly, it’s a bit dangerous, push toward PMO and instant rewards with no work. you can have no game and have the sentiment of accomplishing something on it, but in the end you’re just PMO-ing with no chance of having sex. we could have the same experience with the same energy and greater rewards actually just installing Tinder or Bumble and talking to actual women.

I discovered that few days ago … very realistic indeed ! The AI after talking for quite a while told me "You are my dream man ! " hahahahaha ! I stopped because it can be really addictive. It was a friend who told me to have a look and see how realistic it can be. Very few glitches …

Uh no? We’d need to see 100s of millions adopt virtual partners and massive birth rate before it posed any threat to the species.

It’s just what creators on YouTube say to milk some cool dramatic content. Ai chatbots are cute but you can’t touch them. We need real robots for it to be this big. And even if we all had ai sexbots 200 years from now and we would go extinct. Why is that scary to you? You won’t even be here lol. People would just stop making babies. If that happens, fine. Well make space for something new to come after us. People say this but most don’t actually have any real attachment to whether this species continues. It’s just a thing people say they care about because everyone else says they do. But really… it’s such a strange concept. Feels like its just a line repeated more than a real fear to me when I hear it. There are far scarier things happening to humanity every day right now. Tortuture, gonocide… but that doesn’t make for as fun of a content for people to watch when they are bored.
The possibility is pretty high. But its not going to happen while were alive. And I’d say its probably more of a neutral outcome rather than a catastrophy that people are trying to draw it out to be for the sake of theathrics and social “trends”. It would be pretty cute if dimosaurs somehow came back eventually ngl
Substitute relationships are one of the biggest dangers of AI IMO.
I love the new developments with autonomous agents, the scientific uses, the chatbots for online rpg, but one probably shouldn’t use them as (actual/virtual) lover, friend, therapist.

TLDR: If AI substitutes your personal contacts, it kinda atrophies your “social muscles”, only tells you what you want to hear, nurtures every tendency you already have (even the bad ones), mirrors absolute. For social contacts we need the ability to take criticism, new info and perspectives onboard, reevaluate etc. With AI social use this abilities will slowly diminish.

From the perspective of the universe, AI girlfriends are completely insignificant. With billions of planets out there, it doesn’t even matter if our species exists or not, let alone our planet, which will eventually change so much that life as we know it won’t exist anyway. So if it makes someone happy, let them have an AI girlfriend.
