I’d guess because that’s the default auto-selected section when creating a new topic.

A lot of times it are people who are quite new. They might find it a bit confusing. But it’s not a big problem, I always move the thread when it’s placed in the wrong section.

that section should be news and updates from the creators not everyone posting random shit like “a girl winked at me on the bus”
