yup. very related.
Broadens it and makes it relevant to more areas than just physical shifting.
So far, my sense is:
Ultimas: quick-acting, pinpointed, focused.
Q Customs: comprehensive, broad, deep, long-term lifestyle and personality shifts
You know, I’ve kind of figured that when you have big lifestyle changes that you’re trying to make, you’ll end up using a) Q Programs or b) a combination of Q Programs and Ultimas
I’m thinking that the more my lifestyle begins to be where I want it to be, the more my emphasis may shift to Ultimas.
Another way, I think, to use Ultimas is when you’re committed to a long-term change program with 1 or 2 Majors Or Q Customs, but then you still want to make some focused, situational adjustments.
Like for example, say I’m working long term with an Alchemist Custom (for purpose and personal meaning-related development) and an Emperor/Emperor:HoM Custom (for establishing a highly successful business). Let’s say I’m planning to work with those over say a 2 year period, as I transition from working at a company into establishing a more independent lifestyle.
But then during those 2 years, there may be times when I want to work on a smaller pinpointed project. Like let’s say about 6 months in I see an opportunity to improve my relationship with my daughter or with my wife or maybe an old estranged friend. So, then I keep playing my two customs, but I also create and run a dedicated Ultima custom that has Dynasty, Mercy Protocol, Empathy, Transcendental Connection, maybe Love Bomb. Now I have a light focused program that can help me with this other goal that is specific and short-term but also really important to me.
That’s kind of how I’ve been thinking of it.
See what others have to say.
