Simply a man that is true to himself. He lives congruently. He has harmony and balance between his dark and light side. He doesn’t say ‘I’m an alpha male, respect me’ he just is and people respect him for being authentic. A combination of self love, worth and belief in himself.

From biological sociohierchal terms. This applies to us in solely a primitive way.
The alpha male is the one who gets first dibs to the breeding pool in his social tribe. He is also usually involved with distributing to his fellow beta males to get their share as well.
