What is an Alpha Male?

And what’s acceptable to me is not necessarily acceptable to others.

Gotcha :white_check_mark:

That alpha female stuff is women trying to define themselves using a male lingo therefore using male values. It’s basically women selling themselves short by trying to imitate men. Which is one of the big lies modern feminism has sold to women. Now it’s not up to men to define what an alpha women is. It’s up to women to define what their peak realization is instead of copying men. An alpha male (before the term was hijacked by internet morons) is a strong and competent male that is capable of taking care of himself and protecting his people. It is the optimal embodiment and definition of natural male characteristics.
What is the optimal definition of female characteristics? Up to women to find it. If a man ventures in that space, women accuse him of mansplaining. I can teach another man how to be a strong competent male. Apparently, women are also trying to teach other women how to become a strong and competent man. :joy:

Full disclosure… I am nothing like what most women would consider an “alpha male”. And yet to some women I would meet that definition.

To some it is really about bravery and certainty. Are you willing to die for your beliefs and your actions? Are you willing to defend the ones you love despite your physical shortcomings and such? Maybe you defend your woman through your smarts… through things like setting aside food or whatever. Maybe you defend her physically through having weapons or the ability to punch your attacker out. The key is in your willingness to defend those you love and having a method to do it. Bravery has different forms, and in the end its really about your own dedication to the continuance of life. I know that sounds trite, but its true.

What do you think?

So a man who steps away from his woman and stands beside his mom during an argument between the 2, what’s that all aboot?

Are you asking me to mansplain?

No. I don’t even understand that term either.

Jeeezusssss :roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes:

Ah yes. I sense that’s happened here slightly in my thread. :grimacing:

I welcome a loving heart centred opinion on this….

An alpha male is just a dude who is popular and for some reason or another commands and attracts a certain level of respect, love, admiration, and or fear from those around him and is typically found in positions of leadership. Socially or professionally. Typically they are socially intelligent and kind. Kind, not “nice.” It’s really about emotional maturity and inner strength. Those who are truly strong internally typically don’t do weird crap like put others down, but…it can happen.

I’m not really sure what people mean when they say it “isn’t real” when some of the people HERE fall into this category and people encounter these dudes in real life all the time . You ever just met a dude and was like “fuck, he’s…the kinda dude I would follow.” Thats the kinda energy I’m talking about.

The qualities that make an alpha male are certainly more up for debate. People sometimes think bully behavior is alpha male behavior…I mean based on my own definition it could be…but in my experience, bullies are the most fearful and emotionally turbulent people. That emotional instability doesn’t make for a sustainable “alpha male”.

That’s about him having an opinion, maybe one that is different to that of his lady. I can’t judge without knowing the context,

The one thing I do know which I was about to mention has to do with something that is mentioned in the New Testament of the Bible.

Jesus says in the later chapters of Matthew that he will ignore those who are fearful as if he never knew them. As Dune tells us, “fear is the mind killer”. A real man has to get to that point where he does not fear the actions others are going to put on him for acting the way he will act. He has to be fearless. Whether you do that through smarts, or through physical prowess, is your own decision. But fearing what others may do to you is the sign of being a beta male, and something to be avoided.

Lets put this in another way… what if his woman is proved right?

He needs to have the bravery to show that he was wrong.

To be an alpha (IMO), u need to be able to admit you can be wrong sometimes.

There is a bravery to admitting you can be wrong. But you need that objectivity to investigate in the first case. slash rant

If a man has to choose between :

a) the woman who gave him birth, raised him, cared for him when he was sick, spend a ton of money on him for years and who in most cases will never deny you and who in most cases will always be a supportive person as long as she lives.

b) a woman, he met just a few years ago and who in most cases will file for divorce anyway, taking away a huge chunk of of his resources, who in most cases will only find you attractive if you’re making more money than her. Since “no fault divorce” is a thing in the US and some other countries, a woman who can just up and leave if she finds a man that seems more attractive.

I really wonder why some women expect a man to pick them over their mom (assuming that mom is not some crazy psycho). Women are all about asking for loyalty until the man starts showing loyalty to the woman who raised him.

What if it’s a covert incest dynamic?

I’m not sure I understand that question. Are you implying that a man being loyal to his mother and standing up for her is a covert incest dynamic?

Never mind. Not what I meant.

Too much to explain atm.

I’m going to go enjoy the remainder of my vacation now.

Thanks for your shares though.

On a serious note, an Alpha female would be the one who has the highest feminine charm. And she automatically attracts the mlst masculine man.

Very intelligent indeed :joy:

Well, a Beta Male is nothing more than a traumatized male.

So an Alpha Male is basically just a healthy man.

Doesn’t get more simple than that.

(all my opinion)
