Volume with Masked Subs

I’m curious as to the usual volume level that is used by the general community.

And I would like to know if others have done some experimentation with this, and noticed variations of impact on effectiveness or results.

How many feel it makes no difference to the volume or have found it better set on low, medium or higher level?

I know this doesn’t sound like an exciting question, but I am interested in your feedback.

If I recall correct I read in a thread a comment Saint made that it increases reconciliation if he has volume higher than low.

Part of me is concerned that if I have it too low, then my subconscious may not pick up all of the script well.

I usually listen at mid to 2/3 level.

Keeping Sony XM5’s plugged in wired cause I dont want to risk loss via Bluetooth.

I have it as low as possible so I can barely hear anything.
Firstly I have tried with more volume thanks to our ever-loving Madara but it was no Bueno.
If I am not mistaken SaintSovereign is listening at a very low volume.

I also listen to the lowest level volume on my phone. +1 volume from zero. Anything higher and I can literally feel angst/resistance in my head.

Edit: I should add that I listen with earbuds.

I’ve messed around with volume a lot. Too low of a volume and I started to feel diminished results so I’m careful with that.

This is just my interpretation and I can’t speak for anyone else. Volume signals urgency to my mind. Too low = low urgency and I’ll be more likely to ignore it. Too loud = demands and telling me what to do I will 100% ignore. So having the level about the same volume as my internal dialogue seems to work best for me.

Also I question how low of a volume my subconscious can actually pick up. I figured why make it more of a challenge than it has to be and lose parts of the script?

Oh also one more thing. I have wondered about the difference between the subs traveling through air from speakers vs headphones. Speakers are inherently a more natural listening experience in my opinion. I’m probably going to start testing that on my studio monitors to see how it differs. For me headphones are high stimulus compared to speakers and my brain tends to dislike it. But again that’s just my brain.

I wear earphones and keep it about “medium” volume. In between barely hearing it and it being too loud my ears bleed. Personally I feel wearing earphones/headphones give me better results.
