I’ve been a lawyer in the largest VC firm in my country for the last three years.
Things differ a lot from country to country, but if I were you I would probably prepare both a 1-page teaser outlining the business that you can present quite briefly in order to get invited to a real meeting, where you can present an in depth pitch deck (25+ pages) with a deailed description of the business now and how you see it developing in the future.
Go to conferences in your industry or other networking events and try to talk to the right people. Usually just sending stuff to a random VC doesn’t work.
The most important part is that you can show that you have a scalable idea, an existing customer base (its ok if it is small) and a really strong team/advisors around you.
If you’re new to how VC works, then this book is excellent. Amazon.com: Venture Deals: Be Smarter Than Your Lawyer and Venture Capitalist: 9781119594826: Feld, Brad, Mendelson, Jason: Books
