Using an EQ, Yes or No?

I like using an EQ cuz I can make my headphones sounds really good, and it’s alot nicer to listen to…but should I listen to subliminals with my EQ Flat? I was thinking that maybe the subliminals were mixed at a certain level, and if I use an EQ maybe the subliminals would be more present thus reaching my conscious awareness more, (even if I can’t hear them), but I haven’t lowered the frequency range from 16-20Khz or anything…

NOTE: I DON’T have the other frequencies higher than the 16-20khz by the way…so would this be okay? or should I just leave it flat?

Flat EQ for subs, with bass enhancements disabled. I also would turn off noise cancelling and transparent mode.
