There’s a theory that states that at some point our technology will evolve at such a rapid pace that the only way we can keep up with it and adapt to it fast enough is if we augment ourselves, presumably by implanting a chip that allows our brains to interface with computers directly.
The point I was trying to make is that biologically our brains won’t evolve fast enough by themselves. Humanity’s invention of tools has taken away the constant challenge that we need to biologically evolve.
Perhaps it is possible, but it’s doubtful in a single generation. And if it were, it might take 30 years.
But who knows what the guys can invent? In my experience there’s no harm in being optimistic.
I figured as much, but as far as I know the current format itself doesn’t actually prohibit the usage of 4 or more cores. The resulting custom however would be so dense the listener wouldn’t be able to process it very well. It is unlikely that a newer format could make it less dense.
