Two Part Customs

I have this idea of building a 2 part custom.

Essentially, there would be a core node of 3-5 modules. This would be in both parts (i.e., part 1 and part 2 would both have this core set of 3-5 modules). The rest would be satellite modules.

Imagine that there’s a custom you would like to build that has 32 modules. But you’re limited to 20. So, you could take your core 4-6 modules (the most centrally important defining modules), and put those into both part 1 and part 2.

That then leaves you with 26-28 modules. You split those in half and put 13-14 into part 1 and 13-14 into part 2.

You end up with two ~18-module customs with identical cores, but different supporting modules. Then you can come up with your own exposure schedule. You could play them one after the other. You could play them on alternate days. Or some other arrangement.

I’m not sure if I’ll ever actually do this, or if someone else already is. But thought I’d write it down.

It’s an idea worth trying. I once mentioned it to @Brandon a while back.

Very interesting idea! Definitely something I might look into when I am thinking about switching or upgrading my stack

I like the concept, do you have any plans of using this idea?

Will be doing this with Mind’s Eye and Alchemist when Q+ hits, as well as, Stark+UA+RM. Just too many damn great modules are being created. Until the technology advances where we could fit the 40 modules; we might have to stick to these DIY/“Jerry-Rigged” techniques

No . At least not in the immediate future.

But. Someday…

Im considering the idea to update my PS custom and replace PS core with Khan… That would leave me with 2 Khan st4 v2 customs… with completely different modules each.
Not shure yet, but that would give me way more exposure to Khan and PS is included in Khan as far as I know.

I guess its a pretty similar concept as you are suggesting @Malkuth

Hmmm this could be a good thing. For me am working on some custom for relationships for next year an even tho i know certain majors are in khan am still including them in it and also making up a smaller sub that handles that 0art of my life that i want handle.

My thinking is if you really need the core even if it included you can still leave it in
Just some advice
