Alright.

In my fatherhood, a custom having to do with Lineage would have to cover a few specific points.

• Patience: I’m patient with everyone except those close to me. I’m more patient with other people’s children than my own. And I lose patience with myself.

• Discipline: I was raised in foster care and I have seen and experienced some pretty harsh punishments. Knowing what doesn’t work for me is cool; finding what does is the challenge.

• Trust: knowing that I’ve communicated what was necessary and letting the seed of whatever lesson it is, grow. I’m intelligent. I would even say I’ve got some wisdom. I’m also perceptive. All of this is great; but I’ve got to learn to plant the seed and let it grow. This goes along with patience.

• Nurturing: Due to how I was raised, up until late in my teens I trusted no one to give me love and I certainly never really gave it. I was (and am) the black sheep of my adopted family. I don’t have a close relationship with either my biological or adopted family. This has expressed itself in my love relationships. The man I am today versus even two years ago… They’re completely different in this aspect. In the best way.

I am pretty good at expressing my love and affection for my kid, to my kid. But. There’s still blockages. I wonder if that love is authentic. I wonder if the love he clearly has for me is for me or for the guy who’s in the dad role for him.

For this (theoretical) custom, I would leave it right there.

Patience, Discipline, Trust and Nurturing.

Each of these are easily connected in a beautiful spider web of sorts in my mind, so this custom sort of creates itself.

Let’s do it.

Should this be a two core or single core custom? We’re going for focus so, single it will be.

Another one that might seem a bit unorthodox is Inner Gasoline. I base this off of personal experience and I’m sure many can relate with this.

NoFap. I used to be a part of that community back in my earlier twenties, something like 7 or more years ago, when it was still growing.

I carry some of that philosophy in my own retentive practices. So I’m almost always on some sort of ‘streak’, as the term is/was used over there.

I have noticed for many years now the different benefits of retaining, and one of them - which I never see mentioned by others - is the effect with the younger humans.

Openness, trust, honesty, adoration, authenticity and more. All of these are qualities that I’ve seen in my own kid, my niece and nephew and other people’s kids I’ve seen become way more prevalent in my interactions with them when I’m focusing my essence towards anything beyond smut material. Kids become radiant. They play more. They become louder with delight in their play, and life in them shines in the most scintillating ways.

Of course, the NF community isn’t really focused on that aspect of healing from PMO addiction per se.

So, I’ll edit the list to reflect these, and other R.E. modules I would (and will :wink:) have in the Lineage custom I will have.

Here is some clarification:

Power Awareness:
“A profound module allowing you to become aware of your full power and potential, be that physical, mental or spiritual.”

Implications and application:
-increase respect of those around you
-increase one’s sense of confidence
-increase confidence in providing leadership for one’s family
-setting a positive example for one’s children
-develop self-assurance in one’s ability to be a better parent

If one’s child was being treating unfairly at school by the teacher, how would listening to Power Awareness help that parent address the issue with the teacher, as well as coaching the child how to handle such situations?

Perhaps you can think of more.
