I’m noticing a sense of purpose and joy in competition with my stress or tension about work. It’s pretty interesting.

Tomorrow Sunday 11 January 2026 is my 5th inter-play-period processing day. Monday 12 January 2026 begins my next play period. This time with Alchemist 3 and Khan Black 3 and continuing yet still with Ecstasy of the Golden One.

This play period will take me to March 11.

Each full play period plus 5 processing days is 65 days.

So two play periods = 130 days

three = 195 days

four = 260 days

five = 325 days and here we’re getting close to a year.

six = 390 days

So by the time you complete six play periods, you have passed a year and almost a month.

Six play periods feels like a meaningful period of time to gauge and evaluate movement towards a goal or aspiration.

Started my new play period today. During meditation as usual.

Forgot to start from microloops because I felt like I was just locking back in and reengaging with where I’d left off.

So, I played 15 minutes of Ecstasy of the Golden One.
Sat for 15 minutes
Played 15 minutes of Alchemist 3
Started playing Khan Black 3. About a minute into that, I remembered, and pressed stop.

On Wednesday, I’ll begin with 30 seconds of each. haha.

And here we go.

When a mirror works perfectly, we tend to forget that it is there and focus, instead, on only what it is showing to us.

How could you draw a picture of a mirror that made it clear that it was different from any other piece of glass? That would only be possible by including in the drawing the ā€˜not-Mirror’. In other words, you would have to include the object that is reflected by the mirror on its surface.

The full expression of ā€˜mirror-ness’ is found in ā€˜not-mirror-ness’.

Consciousness is similar.

When our perceptions and perceptual channels (elements of consciousness) are flowing coherently and organically, we forget about consciousness (for the most part) and instead focus on the World or the Reality that we seem to be experiencing directly.

Not a bug; a feature.

Noticing gradual shifts in some of the ways that I’m perceiving other people. Remains to be seen what those shifts will become. Sometimes such things can be transient and barely remembered after some time.

But it seems to be a part of a larger shift towards FIELD-focused orientation and perception. Seeing and relating to ā€˜things’ as parts of larger FIELDS that may or may not be immediately apparent and obvious.

It’s almost a kind of paradigm inversion.

Like when you go from seeing this

as 2 faces, to seeing it as 1 vase, to seeing it as both or as something else entirely.

Anyway.

We’ll see.

Be very wary of limiting or devaluing your own real life based on other people’s (or your own ) heuristics-driven judgments.

It’s a very easy mistake; and a significant one.

Meditation this morning from 7:59 to 8:59 with subs. So we’re back to 15-minute loops again after doing so by mistake on 12 January 2026. (and subsequently getting a viral infection for those ā€˜Synchronicity the RPG’-lovers playing along at home).

Part of me thinks it’s not synchronicity, but just increased cognitive-physical load and processing that draws on and temporarily lowers internal energy stores. But either way, the guy caught a virus.

Now, we’ll see how I do after working up to it over a week and a half.

For those of us who are cultivating a trans-egoic or extra-egoic frame(s) of reference, things can sometimes be disorienting indeed.

I chose to express some of my ideas about Ecstasy of Gold Stage I in a journal entry to ChatGPT, and as is so often the case, I got great feedback.

I can see from reading others’ posts that I may have a view on so-called ā€˜Healing’ programs that sometimes contrasts with some commonly-held perspectives and framings.

First here is what I wrote:

The ā€˜Healing’ of Ecstasy of Gold Stage 1 does not feel so much for me about my ā€˜internal contraction’ or ā€˜moral contamination’ signals; though I would never categorically deny those as salient features. What I feel I am dealing with more is Ontological/ā€˜Field-level’ healing.

An apt metaphor given my provenance and heritage: An enslaved African in Jamaica or in the United States in the 1700s might have incredible contributions and value to offer. Navigating the external constraints of the society at that time, however, would necessitate a superlative degree of sophistication. To both stockpile and accumulate internal and external wealth, while not alerting or alarming a pervasive, oppressive societal structure would take amazing vision. I believe that some few people may even have achieved some level of this. But whether or not any did, the point is that this is a metaphor for learning to navigate an inhospitable sociocultural, ontological field.

This is a different form of healing that does not naively assume that the environment is always neutral or healthy and it is only the ego that needs to ā€˜improve’. Sometimes the changes required in the individual are to compensate for or adapt to constricted features in the surrounding field.

This is what I feel Stage I of Ecstasy of Gold is primarily about for me. I do have my own issues and limitations; but more significantly, the culture at large has been a bit ā€˜illiterate’ when it comes to what I have to offer. At first, i internalized this (similar to an enslaved person who reasonably concluded that ā€˜something about the ā€˜nature’ of things had resulted in the enslavement and oppressed condition’). But gradually, I’m coming to see it in a more nuanced and sophisticated context.

It’s not just about an oppression. It’s also about inner and outer FIT. A dolphin who is evolving and adapting to travel on land would have a number of challenges to navigate.These adaptations would not be because the dolphin was ā€˜sick’, they would be due to the dolphin needing or wanting to traverse a matrix and a landscape for which it was not yet well-adapted.

This development, adaptation, and refinement of FIT could also be conceived as Healing, and it is primarily for this project that I am playing Ecstasy of Gold Stage I for such a long time. I am working to develop a vision, a way of being, and resources that can accommodate my thriving and movement in this world (In spite of the fact that my nature has been at odds with the standards, ideals, and conventions of the interpersonal field). To me this is like solving an addition problem of fractions with different denominators. 1/782 + 24/867. It’s a tricky problem to face simply by feeling one’s way through, and requires the innovation of and translation into some sort of shared (if inconvenient) common denominator.

So that’s that.
