I’m thinking and reflecting on how to approach change

Observe the phenomenon of “I”

I think I’m feeling a little of that Revelation of Spirit beauty around the edges of my consciousness.

Tomorrow’s my next play day, and then, as usual, I’ll rest and process for Saturday and Sunday.

Right now the expressions of the subs feel like little subtle sparks and also movements under the surface.

I have not noticed any great disruption.

Still laying hunt for my great change.

I’ve been on a mystical path my whole life

And I’m grateful for it

I just realized that I’m being a little ungrateful. I was just reviewing my customs and thinking, ‘Hmmm… Cashflow Catalyst, I haven’t really seen anything from that module, yet…’ And that’s when it struck me.

Yesterday, Thursday afternoon, I got a message from a friend/client with whom I’ve worked for a while. She told me that she’d been telling someone else about our work together, and that person now wants to work with me too.

So, in other words, after a 28 day washout, I listened to my two customs on Saturday 27 April, Tuesday 30 April, and then Thursday 2 May, and by Thursday I suddenly had a new client manifest essentially out of thin air without any real effort on my part.

Think about that.

Gratitude.

Getting ready for a morning meditation

Humility is the key to miraculousness; to the Universe.

Because the alternative to humility is to ignore and to mentally avoid whatever is beyond you. (and that turns out to be almost everything in Existence.)

Humility, yes; but audacious humility.

Sometimes I notice that I have a loooooong way to go.

This is a state and space of mind that will always exist in some way throughout life.

The space of competence exists simultaneously.

Sometimes we dip into one pool; sometimes the other.

As I talked with my good friend (my sister) today, I found myself explaining thoughts about an idea I’ve had for a very long time. Somewhat related to martial practice and somewhat related to somatic experiencing (in the tradition of Peter Levine and others). I’m putting a pin in that idea right here, because it seemed like the kind of thing that might actually be beneficial to organize and offer to people.

I’ve agreed to give a brief talk to a group of 17/18 year olds this Thursday. It will only be 45 minutes, and it will take place in the general subject area of Theory of Knowledge.

I’m spending this evening and part of tomorrow to outline the points I would like to share with them.

Here’s a formal definition of Theory of Knowledge:

Theory of Knowledge (TOK) is a course that examines the nature, scope, and limitations of human knowledge. It encourages students to critically reflect on how they know what they know, and to consider different ways of knowing, such as through perception, language, reason, and emotion. TOK aims to develop critical thinking skills and an appreciation for diverse perspectives, ultimately helping students become more thoughtful and well-rounded learners.

So, it’s about ways of knowing. What Gregory Bateson would have referred to as Epistemology. The nature of knowing. The methods of knowing. The limits of knowing. The art of knowing.

Very much wrapped up with Consciousness.

And now that I reflect, (‘duh’), this has to be a manifestation of PHENOMENAUT Genesis.

It happened because I was working with a group of professionals based at a school. Several members of that team are involved in the Activities Day for the students during which many outside people will come in to give talks or lead activities, some recreational, some learning-focused, and so on. One of those team-members passed my name to one of the organizers who later invited me to come in and do a brief discussion.

I agreed. And now it’s 5 days away.

I’ve had a lot of other things going on in the past month, but this was percolating in the background.

And I had this idea that I wanted to talk about 3 -ologies and 3 -isms; that I think are important for modern people.

Phenomenology (haha. of course.)
Ontology
Cosmology

and

Humanism
Existentialism
Postmodernism

I want to present these as structures and frameworks for guiding and organizing Imagination.

Imagination is expression of consciousness; the drawing of shapes and patterns in the medium of consciousness.

So, that’s that.

It’s only 45 minutes, so I’ll define the terms, give metaphors to express why I think they’re significant, and lead a short experiential exercise to try to ground the whole thing and pull it together.

And that is a little PHENOMENAUT-manifested activity.

Voila!

Have you read Tarthang Tulku 's work?

Not to my knowledge. But it’s always interesting to hear from/about a tulku.

What do you like about this one?

I admit, I’ve not read all his books. And it’s been so long that the only one I remember reading is:

Time, Space & Knowledge: A New Vision of Reality (1977)

He has meditations in there that are quite perception altering.

I think he’s the real deal, and he gives it to you straight up.

Interesting.

I ran almost full loops of both programs on Thursday, and I basically felt fine, but

when my next play day (Saturday) came around, I did not yet feel that I was ready to listen again.

So, while I did play full loops, it looks like my frequency of playing is decreased.

Experiencing an interesting subtle, opening of perspective.

Feels calm and yet meaningful.

Fully immersed in rich dream activity last night. Surprised at how early it was when I woke up. Barely enough time for a morning meditation before son wakes. Let’s get to it.

Paradoxes

  1. Sometimes in life, the person with the illogical, foolish arguments has nevertheless somehow reached the accurate answer; and the person with the clever, logical reasoning is nonetheless utterly wrong.

  2. You are justified in complaining about the unfairness of the problems that come to you in this life, but also remember this:

People who strive to face and deal with challenges ALWAYS develop more interesting and resourceful perspectives than people to whom comfort and convenience come easily.

Yes, we’d like to have things be nice, but if things happen to not be nice, don’t make it even worse by ignoring the jewels that always come wrapped in difficulty.

Another early morning meditation. Not super early, but early nonetheless. 6:15-ish.

Not quite ready to play additional loops. It’s been 5 days since those full loops. Interesting. I’m just following my intuition.
