I was listening to a podcast the other day with the two twenty five year old guys that do YouTube videos and live by that philosophy
I feel like I’m learning to embrace Memento Mori unless I’m misunderstanding it in that I don’t want to ever look back on my life and wish I had done something
Guys, this topic was not originally about meditation. If y’all want to continue please make a new topic for it.
Which light and sound machine do you have?
I did few experiments:
- Sens.ai (infrared brain entrainment helmet) + subliminal + pheromones + ketamine : this was the most interesting one because I could literaly observe how my mood, what I think of and how I think about it changes. And it definitely matched descriptions of the sub. Like my mind, body, and perception of past experiences switched to proud alpha, enjoying past and future visualisations. Also very creative. And both thinking in sub script but at the same time observing myself those changes loading up.
- Sub followed by Sens.ai with 1015hz brain entrainment : when it was don’t in pitch black room I could see 5cm wide area in my view under closed eyelids where brain started visualising some animation (like Tom and Jerry chase - just very dim, not clear image, and it was shifting into other chases (as kid I was watching lots of carton network) - not very sub like experience. Or I cannot perceive lesson here.
- Shiftwave + subliminal + binaural beats : when I do this close to sleep it makes my dreams way more realistic, and more in line with sub script. Like when I think about what I was dreaming of - those dreams hint on situations from past (holy crap - I’ve just now realised that recently I’ve run Gateway Tape with “reframe your fears” part and brain/sleep related sub and dreams were some form of approximate recreation of past experiences but with shifted vibe and mood into something closer to “vase fell and broke but we we still have good time, needs to be fixed, but it’s fine” rather than “vase broke, drama, trauma…”).
- NeuroVizr + built in audio track + sub : when intensity was right from the start it was inducing spaded out meditative state and sometimes I could see my brain switching to thinking about something that was aligned with sub script. Supposedly NeuroVizr induces states brain cannot compare to any past experiences (you see colors, fractals, with closed eyes) and this makes brain switch to learning mode.
This is what I have not tried yet but it’s on top of my list: Floating Chamber + super quiet binaural beats + breathwork and breath holds + at right time subliminal. Why? I’ve already tried sleeping entire nights in floating chamber or done 1h breathwork during 3h floats and those induced singlehandedly the fastest changes in my life. My mental health improved rapidly, meditations skills skyrocketed, got to the point I was sort of lucid dreaming (like after 2h of float at night I was entering conscious dream-like state, or profound visualisation state and almost controlling it). I’ve read in book about floating that in US there is Mind Gym military place where they train spies and they use advanced floating chambers with binaurals and some other things to for example teach languages in weeks instead of months. I’ve already bought few pairs of headphones designed for swimming.
I believe that subs + a state where you visualise situations that align with script improves effects.
Which titles did you test with these? We also did some tests a few years ago?
And please do report back on the floating chamber experience. I’ve been wanting to test this one myself.
Sadly I don’t remember exactly - that was long time ago when I was buying quite a lot of Subs to check if any won’t give me recon (but recon subsided just recently by fixing health issues). Maybe Khan, Khan Black or stark black (ketamine experience).
As Floating chamber tips and tricks. As soon as you wake up, try not to open your eyes almost at all, barely open them, put on sunglasses, baseball cap or hoodie, put on clothes and uber to floating centre. Use restroom. Quickly get in. And stay there for 3h. Do brief double sighs (Huberman) and just relax. Either you will fall asleep or will enter very deep states maybe even dream like. Creativity will skyrocket - to the levels you have not experienced before - I’ve figured out quite a lot of things at floating. After 2h you will probably “wake up” or become quite aware that you have reached peak rest and your body and brain is getting more active. Use this last hour to do breathwork. Breath is to belly, breath holds on full, on empty, veeery long breath holds, Huberman double or quadriple sighs, and notice how you can feel your hearbeat in breath holds. You may notice that if you done it right your hearbeat is 1 beat per few seconds (maybe even lower than elite snipers).
Also. Ask floating centre owner if you can sleep few nights in month in chamber at night. Or if you can get monthly pass for some reduced price and try month of floating. Talking to someone about good things post float makes it be soaked into you.
Don’t do any supplements, food, water, and especially coffee or chocolate before floating. All will make you too “awake” to rip benefits. Don’t do hydrogen inhalations before or after either - magnesium sulfate from water and hydrogen in such amounts together will make you feel retarded post float, among other unpleasant feelings.
Sadly, not yet. It’s on the list. I figure I’ll do ultrasonic on my bone conduction ones to see what happens whilst listening.
Then masked another time.
The float place I go to is just far enough away that I gotta be mindful of fuel cost lol. sucks. Nothing closer I’ve found.
Then I would suggest to go with someone, take theragun (if you have - to get some vibrating massage after float), talk with someone after float, something about growth, something that reframe thinking into positive, or get proper massage there if they have massagist there or close by. To make the most of it or squeeze the experience.
I don’t remember which what was the name of this massage, maybe traditional Thai, where you are being treated like a rag doll, being lifted up, wrapped into weird positions, some parts of your body placed on massagist body, hands pulled while massagist legs pushes on some part of your body. This massage pairs so well with float. When body is infused with all of this magnesium it works wonders.
