Can you guys give me anything to attract pure, loving and undamaged women for a real long term relationship? The casual dating thing just isn’t for me. I can do really well in hookup culture but can’t help but yearn for a woman who is supportive, cheery and mature enough for me to be vulnerable with safely and dream of starting a family. It is like we’re not just girlfriend and boyfriend, but companions, and would do anything for each other.

Is this normal? I am only 19. Please tell me if there is anything. I just can’t participate in casual dating, it destroys me from the inside.

Seems like you’re an old soul :blush: There is nothing wrong with you! I understand that it sometimes can feel lonely or weird because it’s not the norm. It’s indeed not normal because most people prefer the hook-up culture. Not that there is anything wrong with that, you’re just on a different wave length when it comes to these type of things.

Do you also have the same difficulties with friendships if I may ask? Finding that deep bond of friends that feel like a brotherhood instead of drinky buddies.

Yea, it’s truly the same with friends. I’ve been on the lonesome my entire life. I am charismatic, am able to make people laugh and smile, however I’ve rarely experienced the same in return.

Interests are different, I suppose. It may be because I have a measured IQ of approximately 120-125. I have found people usually float around rather than take action for what they want and who they want to become. I’m unsure if others could relate.

It is unfortunate because many would consider me their friend.

I’ve felt more fortunate staying true to myself.

What’s defined as old soul?

It’s a spiritual term, that implies that people are on different wavelengths in this world. It’s not about being better or further, that’s not the case. It’s more like you have experienced already a lot in past lives and learned enough. You evolved into somebody that wants to dive deeper into life.

I hope that’s not to “woo-woo” for you.
