I do go to a person’s Activity page to check the last several hundred posts they made. If they did only one-lines like “wow (emoji)” or “that is great” or “i want one of those” then I’m not giving them the rank. We want somebody that can keep a decent conversation.

But I also suspect some people are in it for the discount. There are also people that have never asked for a rank. Another human thing. They save 10%, which makes them so happy they end up spending twice as much. Supermarkets thrive on this concept. :slight_smile:

Maybe we should do a secret rank for people which have reached 2k posts and never asked for a rank-up.

I don’t even know what ranks work how, I just choose the one which was available, the Regular :smiley:

I once knew a person who was really into couponing. She spent all one day clipping coupons for various things, and then the next 2 days driving around from shop to shop, saving a few cents here, a dollar there. At the end of the process she’d burned a whole tank of gas and spent 3 days on shopping, and had saved about $40. She was so excited about saving $40 that she was posting about it on social media, and others were congratulating her. Nobody liked it when I pointed out that it was actually a significant loss, once you factored in how much it cost to achieve that “savings”.

It’s easier for some people to understand “save 10%” than “spend a bit more $, save time and then make MUCH more $”.

Am I the only one that thinks the whole Cthulhu mythos is one of the creepiest things a human being ever came up with?

Saint has told me that going forward it is necessary to send in an official support ticket to get the Elite titles. May be a good thing, I tend to be reasonably critical when it comes to judging if your posts add enough value to the forum.

Well, there’s not yet a ruling saying that I can’t drop the support ticket number somewhere so that Saint will trip over it… :wink:
