Soul is aching and feels unwell

Difficult to describe the inner feelings, but it is a bit awful.

Is this classified as recon, others feel like this on healing subs?

Sanguine:the Elixir is all I started to listen to again after an extended washout.

Yes it is recon. Think of recon as healing by releasing your traumas. Which is why you are feeling this way.

It is like a glass of muddy water kept still and the dirt settles at the bottom of the water and you don’t feel anything before running the audio.

But running healing subs is like running this water through a filtering machine. Sure the process is difficult but in the end it is worth it to get clean water.

Can it also feel like more darkness in the soul?

What are your tips, how do you cope with it?

I’m having a beer right now, not wise?

I had a similar experience with SE, it does pass usually but the recon does have the purpose of bringing things to your attention so you can try to find a solution and bridge the gap between the goal of SE and your current state. Obviously all the usual suggestions for dealing with trauma would apply including seeing your therapist if you have one or talking with friends and family about what you’re experiencing.
EDITED to add: Also, and especially if you can’t figure out a valid reason for the feeling, as humans we do sometimes tend to pick up on the emotions of others in our environment. So its worth seeing if you still feel it in the same way upon moving location

Purely on the sub side, don’t forget the options of:

  1. Shortening your loops
  2. Spacing out your listening days

That seems to have helped quite a few people.

On the life side,

Moving your body can make a great difference

Watching a comedy show

Watching any show that doesn’t add more darkness to your soul

Some people find that chocolate helps. Haven’t tried that one as I don’t like chocolate. But basically the carbs for energy.

I’ve experienced the darkness in the soul thing. Got it particularly intensely in the second half of 2020.

Hang in there and keep remembering the big picture.

Personally I find it helpful to remember that we are jumped-up apes who evolved opposable thumbs and slightly more complicated higher cognitive functions; but apparently that one doesn’t quite work for everybody, so….

But find your own ways to remember awe.

Don’t forget to look up.

Weird how easy it is to forget that we’re surrounded by infinity. (Chalk it up, once again, to that ape brain, I guess 🤷.)

You’ll get through it, bro. Keep us updated.

To add to what @emperor_obewan and @Malkuth had written, remember that we also get “recon” as we live life. There are days when our moods are low due to societal programming, sadness and anger due to religion, politics, family, etc. And we deal with it.

Of course there are positive and negative ways to deal with it. You know what I mean.

But subliminal recon while a bit similar is to improve who you are (at least here at SubClub). So take up some positive habits to deal with it. Or give yourself a break where you watch something that makes you laugh or eat something that tastes good or even be introspective so that it helps you get ideas on how to change your life.

Things like that. Dealing with recon is the same as how you deal with what life gives you.

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. And maybe start a lemonade stand and earn some money while we are at it.

I’ve been through really low periods on these subs. It’s important to identify as much as possible what you’re feeling and why.

Maybe talking about it here could help? Do you feel aligned with your life? Or do you feel something isn’t right? Sometimes these unwell feelings are the growing urges of change pushing up against the tendency to hold onto safety. It can be a gnawing feeling that things aren’t right, but there’s a barrier that prevents you from getting what you need.
