Solace mask different sound in custom compared to main store titel

I started listening to AEON st1 two weeks ago. Yesterday I also listened to a fairly new custom. They are both in solace mask but for some reason they sound different.

I listened to the custom first and got the impression that it sounds quite “busy”, a little bit aggresive, nervously trickeling. When I listened to AEON afterwards, it was so calm and serene that I almost thought that I accidentally played the custom in 2x speed but I didn’t.

I don’t think that I experienced this before with other customs. The reason might be that this custom is really packed: 3 cores, 2 essence, 5 synergies, 20 modules in total. I’m already thinking that I’m going to reduce the density with a new custom.

But anyways, did anyone else experience something like that? The solace mask of major titles sounding more calm and slower than the solace mask of a custom?

Are you sure it sounded differently?
Or did you just feel it differently before ase of the density?
Because there shouldn’t be any difference in the mask. Just yesterday I got a new custom and it sounds absolutely like any other major store title.

Or did they miss to add the solace mask and you got the leagcy one instead?

It happened to me 5 months ago, I made custom with solace mask option but it was delivered to me with legacy mask instead.
I submitted a ticket and it was resolved quick, I received custom with solace mask few hours later.

@x3m – post your order number and I’ll get this corrected ASAP. It could be the legacy mask by accident.

The same thing happened with my custom subliminal. Yesterday was my first day listening to it, and I noticed the sound was clearly different from the store-bought versions. The custom one sounded more like wind with flowing water — and absolutely not the same as the store-bought ones.
I ordered Legacy mask btw… but it was clearly different than the major titles available at the store

seems to be pretty normal. legacy mask isnt solace mask. solace mask ist the major title mask.

All store titles have solace mask, which is different from legacy mask.

For custom (the build with 10 slots or more), the standard mask without extra cost is legacy; solace adds another $30.

Only name embedded major titles build comes with solace mask without extra cost.

Hi Saint, thank you very much! It’s not that urgent, I’ll consider if I’m going to directly rebuild the custom as a lighter version, so I’ll come back to your offer later if I want to use this specific custom for longer.
