Very much concur, especially with shrooms. You don’t know what/how much you get in advance. This could go wrong, badly. Also: Not sure it is necessary. Subs work longterm on the overall wiring. If one has listened to e. g. ZONE for a while all trips might get more interesting in the future.
Subliminals are like a mirror. A mirror’s effectiveness is based on your ability to recognize, tolerate, understand, and integrate what the mirror shows you.
Shrooms and psychedelics in general, don’t help with that.
It seems as though the problem you’re focusing on throughout the thread could be better framed in terms of an engineering problem. In other words, what are the objectives you want to achieve, what are their pre-conditions for fulfillment and what means do you have at your disposal for making those true?
What I read from what you’ve said:
- The step you’re looking to optimize is openness to or acceptance of the script.
Corollary:
- You feel like you’re having trouble “accepting” or “becoming [more] open to” some of the scripts you’re listening to.
Fine tuning:
- What factors are there that make you believe/perceive that openness to the script is your bottleneck? Could there be other parts of the subliminal use process responsible for the perceptions you’ve come to?
I notice later in your posts you said:
There is a difference between “openness to new concepts” and this “brain becomes more flexible temporarily”. One is called suggestibility, the other is called neuroplasticity.
If you’re wanting to try this in order to experience the improved neuroplasticity, you might want to ask yourself whether there are other methods of improving that more regularly without tripping, or more efficient methods. Aside from the lion’s mane for neuroplasticity, ashwagandha as well as long term turmeric use have similar synergetic effects (eg for ashwagandha, dendritic arborization), and adaptogenic mushrooms like reishi or turkey tail can help in other ways such as controlling neuro-inflammation. Exercise can also help with BDNF levels. There are multiple ways to help the physical structure of the brain to be more pliable.
Similarly, there are different techniques that can be taken to improve suggestibility temporarily or in the direction of the script. But the question is whether this is even the issue. The framing across different posts suggests more of a general resistance to change, and that could stem from any one of several different directions: physiological (energy levels), psychological (stubbornness / fixed beliefs, aversion to taking action etc), or even the goal running counter to your inner nature / zero point.
Looking at the problem statement and assumptions more closely seems worthwhile. Even though plant allies can be useful in some situations, it’s possible there may be an easier solution hiding in plain sight.
I wrote a lot, then got lazy, so I deleted it.
No mushrooms aren’t a magic hack to help you get better subliminal results. Truth is, if you try and use them like that, you are probably setting yourself up for a bad trip, or just an underwhelming experience.
I’ve found pretty much 0 evidence that mushrooms simply “open you up” they don’t, not really, not in the way you think. They don’t really “open” you at all, they take you on a journey, and on mushrooms, at the right dose, the “you” that you want to open, generally gets left behind.
There is a drug that does that–just opens you up–but I won’t say what it is.
There are several legal states in the US, I live in one. I’ve done them a LOT, yeah, mixing subs and mushrooms is fine, you won’t explode, but it’s not gonna change the game the way you think.
Final tip, if you go into a trip with too much force, it tends to lead to uncomfortable experiences. I.e., if you go into a trip thinking “I’m gonna get better subliminal results”, you might get mocked or knocked down to size because you aren’t receptive to what the journey is actually trying to show you.
More often than not, the journey you actually go on has pretty much nothing to do with any of your material concerns.
On that note, often what happens to people, is the mushroom trip shows them that what they thought they wanted or needed was actually just a dumb misunderstanding, and you realize that you’re over complicating it.
Safety, if you live in a legal state or country.
Start slow, build some experience, don’t jump into the deep end.
When you work yourself up to it, do one heroic does a year in a safe and controlled environment.
Also, don’t get lost in the sauce, the point of being alive is to live.
I have found that on psychedelics I trip on the subliminal. Which feels SUPERAWESOME…but it has a big downside: It gives the feeling of the sub being in fulle ffekt…while lying on your couch. It is a boots. a massive boost. To feel what a sub has to offer. To fully feel what an emperor feels like. Yet…its an entire different beast to put this into a relationship and contact with another human being.
For me this makes the subconcious to apparent. But I have done so much (maybe to much) spiritual work and need to learn to let the subconcious be the subconious without interfering anymore…
