Emotions - 9/10 Still happy and content overall.

Daily Thoughts - Kali LP6 v2 base tonality, bass extension, and flatness are better than DJ VM-50 and JBL 306P Mark II according to spinorama.org. No hiss is important as well. The only downside is it takes quite a lot of desk space.

Habits - 3/10 Lacking but will still execute my night routine.
Emotions - 7/10 Good overall but a bit bothered by my relative lack of relevant action

Daily Thoughts - Just need some decluttering and tidying up before the year ends. The Boy and The Heron seems good. I wonder if they allow kids below 13 if the parents come along. FLAC music is something else. Even with just my Bose QC25 you can hear the difference.

Habits - 2/10 Terrible. No morning routine. Bad diet. Doomscrolling and bedrotting.
Emotions - 2/10 Shame and guilt for an unproductive day

Daily Thoughts - Even with just two meals daily, I have too much energy after running my stack. Holiday noise and karaoke from neighbors late at night don’t help. This too shall pass though. I’ll be back on track. Anyway, I decided to go with a basic Edifier MR4 setup with a T5 subwoofer because of a holiday discount I can’t refuse. I got the whole thing for like 200 bucks. It’s a steal and I just want to get this over with. EQ+Sub rating is supposed to be 8.0 pts, just 1 pt shy from a Genelec 8030C+sub of 9.0 and 0.4 shy from a Kali LP-6v2+sub of 8.4. I just need them as nearfield speakers for focus and exercise music in my room anyway. Idk why I suddenly thought of going full audiophile when I don’t even mix or produce music. I have always been a perfectionist and it can be a problem. Sometimes I forget good enough is good enough. Zanshin. Everything is aiming. Relevant thoughts and relevant actions. I have strayed from my way. Luckily I have this journal to make me aware.

12/28/23 Cycle 2 Stack Run: DRLD+QLST1 Day 9 Review

Sleep - 1/10 Worst sleep in a long while.
Daily Routine - 5/10 I redeemed myself on the latter half
Action - 8/10 Some lag and resistance but I pushed through anyway
Habits - 7/10 Better than yesterday.
Emotions - 3/10 A lot of stress throughout the day. Headache. Lethargy. But tonight was good.

Daily Thoughts - Sacred Sleep is the insight today. If I truly prioritize it over anything, I think most of my problems are solved. I already thought of this before but I guess I keep on forgetting so life keeps teaching me the lesson. Its main competition is frivolous screen time anyway. From now on idgaf about anything past 7 pm. I’ll just execute my night routine and sleep.

Daily Thoughts - Suddenly unmotivated to do anything, even washing my dishes. Just gotta keep on going somehow.

Habits - 8/10 Better than I expected considering the previous days
Emotions - 8/10 Recovered somewhat. I’ll just do what I can moving forward

Daily Thoughts - Not much. Just thought of tweaking my environment by decluttering completely. SMART goals was recommended to me on YouTube as well.

How are you tracking your QL results?

QuadNBack level + other cognitive feats. But I’m out of it for now. I’m all over the place and suddenly got severe flu. I think the transformative process won’t feel as novel as the first cycle but it’s there. I just trust the process and show up every day.

Habits - 1/10 Nada
Emotions - 1/10 Fever, headache, sore throat, loss of appetite, chills, weakness, joint pains. Bedridden for the most part.

Daily Thoughts - Last day of this year. Still blessed overall. I think I got sick because the last week my diet consisted mainly of fast-food burgers and my sleep and exercise routine went haywire. I think this is correlated to inflammation and that is never good.

Daily Thoughts- Just focused on recovery. Read Aloud TTS Chrome extension is nice to read novels for you.

Emotions - 7/10 Almost fully recovered. I should be good to go tomorrow.

Daily Thoughts - Had a talk with a Math MSc who can’t find a job. She has some skills in computer programming as well. I was just taken aback. We really should not take our opportunities for granted. Sent her to roadmap.sh to hopefully land a job in data science or machine learning in the future.

Emotions - 4/10 Severe dry coughs and sore throat. I thought I was ok now but I had to buy more lozenges. No more headaches and fever luckily.

Daily Thoughts - The unfairness of life and how to maximize your circumstances. Lookism and how it affects everything. The brevity of a year and how each passes by faster than the last. How someone is literally a treasure in your life but you take it for granted. There is no shame in letting them know you love them. What’s shameful would be if you can no longer do so because they are already dead.

Thank you I will look into it. I’m already taking Cal Mag D K stack but it’s magnesium oxide. My recent sleep problems are mainly due to my illness making me sleep off hours.

Emotions - 9/10 Great overall. No more dry coughs. Next time I get the flu I will add cough syrup to lozenges and paracetamol stack.

Daily Thoughts - Tetris is an interesting game. I first stumbled upon the scene when the late great Jonas Neubauer was still alive. He was dethroned by a young blood Joseph Saelee who came up with “hypertapping”, which was revolutionary at the time. But suddenly it is obsolete because of a new method called “rolling”. Feats that were once thought impossible less than a decade ago are now becoming the norm. Humans are really something. I can’t think of a quote more apt for this than Michael Jordan’s “Never say never, because limits, like fears, are often just an illusion.” Now imagine what you can achieve if you apply this to any area of interest. Impossible is nothing.

Daily Thoughts - I’m reading Tom Hougaard’s book Best Loser Wins as per someone’s recommendation in this forum. I’m looking for similarities with poker mental game. About halfway there. It’s alright, nothing groundbreaking yet but it seems the author wants it that way. Simple but supposedly life-changing for aspiring traders. I was gonna finish it in one sitting but I had to help someone with computer stuff.

Daily Thoughts - Time flies. 2 cycles done with QL Stage 1. My 2nd cycle is far from optimal because of unfortunate circumstances. I can say I can only blame myself but I won’t. I have regained my health and that is accomplishment enough. Even with all this friction, I am still moving forward. I am still blessed and grateful for coming across SubliminalClub. The goalposts remain clear and my next steps are simple. I just have to iron these very few remaining ones, then I can proceed seamlessly. I’m quite excited for the next stages. Patience and effort always pay off.
