Share your experiences with Avatar

Anyone care to share his experiences with the Avatar module?

A module with quite a wide model of effect, Avatar helps you embody and embrace the qualities of the specific spiritual tradition or religion you choose. If you desire to dig deep into Christianity, you will find yourself following the word of God more and more closely while embodying the profound virtues ingrained in Christianity’s roots. Similarly, if you are someone practicing magic, you will see yourself developing qualities that will help you develop your magic to higher and higher levels, such as ambition and meticulousness. As a Yogi, you will rapidly develop stillness of mind, freedom from vices and a connection to the profound energies of Shiva and Shakti. You can also use Avatar to incorporate qualities from many different spiritual traditions that interest you.

I guess this module also allows me to understand religious/occult/mystical text better? E.g, I want to fully understand Thomas Aquinas’s Summa Theologica , or the Daodeching or Neville Goddard’s teachings.

Am about 3 weeks deep with it.

The key word for me is ‘embody’. It’s not about talking. It’s about being.

All I can say so far is that I have an intuitive sense that it is being processed in me.

What are you looking to find out @friday @King?

What tangible effects have you seen so far?

Avatar seems to be one of the most powerful modules. Just imagine setting your intention to become like Jesus, developing all his qualities like forgiveness and gratitude just to name two.
I am just not sure if I truly want to go into this realm…

Truth is, I’ve always kind of had the ‘avatar’ mentality. For better and for worse. And I don’t mean that I thought I was an avatar. I mean I thought of those spiritual accomplishments as what I hoped to emulate. Back as a kid when I was still Christian, I’d read the stories of the prophets and think, “If it’s possible to talk to God like that, then why would anyone want to do anything else? What else could possibly be worth doing?”

I think I’ve reached a point in my life where I don’t project as much as I used to onto spiritual teachers, teachings, and practices. (Of course, if I met that the right(or wrong) teacher tomorrow, that could all change. But I hope not.

In my mind, spiritual adepts and spiritual greats are no better than anyone else. Not when it comes to basic value.

They represent some colors in the spectrum of human experience. And they happen to represent the part of the spectrum in which I am really interested. But that doesn’t mean they’re better than someone who builds bridges or bakes pies.

They have amazing treasures to offer to humanity. But so do many others. And spiritual greats still make mistakes, hurt people sometimes, and are imperfect.

I think that recognizing this point is a very important step along the path of so-called spiritual practice.

So Avatar, for me, is about deepening integrity and deepening embodiment of the ideals of one’s Vision. It’s about an increased degree of development along the inward axes of growth. That’s legitimate. But there’s no need for anyone to debase themselves. The best way to honor the teachers is to practice. Not worshipping them.

You’re right though. Some teachings and practices may be incredibly intense.
