That looks similar to the type of experiments I run. Although what I’ve been focusing on recently has been how the higher states of consciousness aid in processing, as well as especially the witness state without reacting. The sub run is kind of like dropping a stone into an already muddy pond, and then that witness or witness plus as close as you can get to unity is like a strange attractor to organise all that stuff.
Sadly I’m not as far along with that as I would like to be, because us unemployed folks still have obligations we need to deal with, can’t go sitting around in meditation all day long. Even so, the level of continued mental coherence is the bottleneck, which is what in other threads has been simplified as flow factor.
Well, there may be delays. Like 25,000 other companies, we got caught up in the sudden and overnight closure of Bench Accounting services… four days before books are set to close. This means that we have to find a new accounting service and reconcile an entire year of tax documents for multiple properties. I should’ve seen the writing on the wall when Bain Capital became the main VC (Mitt Romney).
So, yeah. We’ll be fine, as we have colleagues that can do this by hand in Quickbooks, but it’s still a really annoying thing to deal with before New Years.
One of those is in an Action-Easy area (an area in which my nature and habits are to take constant, ongoing, motivated action).
The other is in an Action-Challenging area (an area in which I have not customarily done very much, but want to do more).
With the Action-Easy sub, the idea is to support my continued development and evolution in that area, to more effectively harness those capacities in the service of my overall life, and to have the courage to integrate this area with how I live and move in the world in general.
With the Action-Challenging sub, the aim is to, over time, build competence, find and consolidate motivation, and take more action.
Despite the differences in my ease of action with them, the two programs are, objectively-speaking, synergistic and create a unified picture. They feel like a dialectic partnership (e.g., inhale-exhale, crouch-and-leap, aim-and-shoot) where I’m more comfortable with one side of the polarity than with the other.
And life itself told me this secret: ‘Behold, it said,‘I am that which must overcome itself again and again”
The way to becoming a superhuman, the way to becoming Legendary.
I’m the one that MUST overcome himself again and again.
I’ll do what I must, become what I must or else I will pay for my cowardice and ineptitude with mediocrity.
He, who is not the master of himself, will have other masters. Self-mastery is the most essential. Lording over yourself. Establishing laws for yourself to follow and being merciless to yourself in their execution. That’s the nature of high spirits. To sum up Nietzsche.
It shouldn’t. It’s an accounting issue, just slows @Fire and myself down because we get the glorious task of sitting through a bunch of sales pitches and having to choose a new service.
