Recon - Immediate Actionable Things to Help Reduce It (or at least my attempt at it)

I find getting more REM sleep helps.

Also I sometimes put in ear plugs as I go about my day. I figure that if there is less auditory input coming in as I go about my day, that’s less input for my brain to process, and more bandwidth for my brain to process the subs.

Now that’s really interesting and something I didn’t think of. Instead of focusing on how to resolve recon, how can we maximize bandwidth for subliminal input? Hmmmm gonna have to think about this one more

Another thing I’ve considered but haven’t done is time in a floatation tank to manage recon.

It’s funny you mention that, it’s within the same sort of idea. This past weekend I went camping. No technology around, minimal noise pollution, and away from civilization. When I was relaxing in my tent at night I felt so much energy inside my body releasing. It’s actually where I got a strong intuitive pull to WB. Since that sort of awareness and decision things have been different for me. I’d be really interested to know if you do this and what kind of effects you get.

If you have access to one, I’d encourage you to try it. The place I went to had an unlimited 30 day pass. Pay a flat fee, and then for the next 30 days, I used it as much as I wanted.

i don’t think i can test them out in the near future, I don’t have access to a floatation tank and I have to directly deal with a lot of voices in what I do nowadays.

I will try them out when I have the opportunity!

I’ve tried that once. Was a cool experience. Not sure if I’d do it again though.

I bought an earthing mat the other day, but it’s gonna take a while to ship. I know it won’t work directly on recon, but I’m going to see if it has an effect from being around EMF all day. Still questionable if EMF does anything to me. But I figure stimulus is stimulus, so the more built up in my body the less bandwidth for the subs to execute smoothly.

Fascinating idea.

While i’m here i may as well give an update on the experiment.

After wrestling with huge recons from DRLD and WB and trying most things I’ve listed in this post, I found out that seeking more clarity & certainty may be the main key to resolving recon.

I’ve written a lot in my journal but here is the tldr:

2 big recons, booth are significantly soothed quickly after i got more clarity & certainty.
Journaling helps in getting more clarity.
Taking action gives more certainty.

If there are contradictions in your mind that are brought up by the sub, say your goals, make it clear what you want.

These are not conclusive yet, i still need to experiment more on these to see how my hypotheses hold up.


The list of activities above are still useful though.
Drinking a lot of water is still the quickest for me.

It’s funny you say that because if you read the objectives for DRLD it’s very on point with what you’ve discussed here.

Valid to semi-valid, depending on the situation, I’d say.

I’m currently feeling that there’s no substitute for the bodily element when it comes to recognizing and processing recon. In other words, it’s not just about shifting the sensations or ‘feeling better’.

It’s about feeling the recon and going through it as it resolves into balance, groundedness, and equanimity once more.

I think that music (as an emotional and attitudinal shifter) can help significantly with this re-engagement. In the absence of that re-engagement, however, the music is just serving as a pain-killer or an analgesic rather than as a true resolution to the recon.

There’s a feeling of ‘sobriety’ that I associate with the genuine passing of recon. It goes beyond simple ‘relief’.

Also, remember that another way to think about reconciliation is as: 'disruptive symptoms of growth processes on the way to more refined integration and processing’.

In other words, in many cases, the seeds of the solutions to recon are right there within the recon itself.

It’s less that one is ‘fixing’ the recon, and more that one is finding effective ways to ‘get through’ (or navigate) the process.

Kind of similar to how the symptoms of excess alcohol consumption are actually the sensations of your body processing, metabolizing, and expelling that alcohol.

Of course, that may not be so comforting when you’re vomiting by the side of the road at 3 am; but it can make a difference to remember that the whole thing, if survived, is taking you someplace better.
