The Executive has always given me the most recon. As you might imagine, taking action is my biggest gripe and I have excuses that are very debilitating. For example, my favourite musician and I started out at the same time and I had some really good opportunities but then college started and I didn’t have the time freedom to work on music. As you can imagine, there is quite a bit of resentment towards people who pushed me in the direction I didn’t want to go in (Happens a lot in where I come from). Blackmail, emotional manipulation, and making it seem like being a musician is in itself a bad thing.
Now, I have the practice and the passion but the daunting feeling like what if it doesn’t work out. Makes me choose the easy route - make music when you feel inspired - not consistently.
Apply this to other activities as well. The point is, the way I take the best action is when I don’t consciously decide or guide myself. It’s when I subliminally move my attention to what I wish to do and end up finishing it. Whenever I consciously try to focus, that’s it - million reasons why I shouldn’t do.
Any idea how I could fix this?
I must however say, at the same time - I take arguably some of the most action. I don’t want it to sound like words in air so let me demonstrate:
- I have created atleast 500 projects (songs, designs, etc) from 2020
- I have read 10+ books this year
- Conducted tens of hours worth of events this year for my association in college
- Cracked a difficult exam and qualified for top most programs
- Judge case studies
And more…
But I hope you get my point…
