Under the tips for Daredevil it says, “Try to stay ‘out of your head’ when interacting with others, allowing your natural personality (enhanced by Daredevil) to shine”. Do you think I should just open my mouth without thinking and whatever is said is said, including to strangers? (I am in USA). In the past I’ve gotten rejected a bit from apparently saying uninteresting things to the wrong people which inhibited my confidence to speak freely.
Rather, it means that you should be spontaneous. Not that you turn off your mind
Seems like I hesitate and don’t say anything if I allow myself to think. Like, by the time I’ve thought through what to say, I think, “It’s too late, the time to say that already passed.”
I know that only too well. It is often better to keep your mouth shut than to say something wrong or it is already too late. Maybe DD will help to become faster and more spontaneous. That’s the only thing that helps.
It makes a difference who we’re talking to right? Certain people don’t care that much about the significance of the words, but just being friendly. I’m talking fairly casual social environments as opposed to board meetings for example.
I’ll note that I’m unlikely to say something outrageously offensive when doing this. It just might not be podcast-quality, top notch intellectual intrigue. Overthinking is good for that but I’m thinking I should be more lighthearted and less critical.
