Q Upgrade Module Pack #1: Renaissance

This is RENAISSANCE: fifteen modules, upgraded to ZPU standards

We’re sorry for the lack of notice, but things are moving fast at Subliminal Club. We’ve taken on the monumental task of upgrading the modules on the Q store that need it the most.

As such: We’ve rewritten fifteen Q Store modules, each with a new script, new artwork and (for the most part) new names. If you’ve licensed any of them before, you don’t need to relicense. Your existing license carries over to the new version. This means you can use the Discounted ZPU Rebuild link to upgrade past customs with these modules: https://q.subliminalclub.com/product/discounted-zp-rebuilds/

View them all under the “New Modules” category (note, the ESSENCE modules are still listed there as well): https://q.subliminalclub.com/product-category/new-modules/

Love the description of Auteur.

Rembrandt always read as something only for artists who paint or draw. The description now is crystal clear.

And the first non core q module to reference film if I’m not mistaken.

Excited.

These look great!

Are the SYNERGY modules updated when their constituent modules are? For example, SYNERGY: Ambrosia contains the old Perfect Style & Smell (now Signature). So is SYNERGY: Ambrosia also updated to include the updated Signature or will be upgraded separately?

No simple “upgrading the script of modules to ZPU”. They upgrade the script of these modules to be even better by doing more!

I do like the direction of upgrading modules is going.

I’ll miss the odd beauty of the name Vortexdive Crucible. Glad I have it in a past custom.

You can say that again.

One of my favorite companies here on planet Earth.

Must be a side-effect of all of this Ecstasy of Gold play that I’m now someone who can be a fan of companies.

@Fire – told you :stuck_out_tongue:

We legit debated about this earlier. I wanted to keep the name. Reminded me of an ability in a Final Fantasy game or something.

haha

granted, Temper feels like the stronger branding choice. one word. strong. memorable.

but, yes:

@Malkuth - I really like the name change to Lionheart. No idea why lol.

Was literally about to @ you on that. Got sidetracked.

Haha!

Now am worried for Lion IV. That’s close to my heart. Hopefully it becomes Lion V or Lion X or Lion Final Version!

I thought vortexdive crucible was about not avoiding your tasks, and an improvement in procrastination without healing?!?

As for the name - ya I love its sound but tbh have no idea what it really means. Temper is clear, crisp, immediately aligns with the copy, I like it much more

These are beautiful!

Are the corresponding Synergys (e. g. Ambrosia with Perfect Style & Smell + One Scent) also being updated?

It was about diving deep into your negative emotions; and harnessing them (in the alchemical crucible–the powerful vortex–of your heart and mind) into a resource of force and power that energizes you and your actions.

So the practical outcome was what you thought, but the internal mechanism is what was being described in the module’s name.

I really loved the shadow work aspect and selfexploration of Vortexdive Crucible.

tbh I am a bit torn.

I appreciate the clearer distinctions, the matured concepts and upgrades overall.

Vortexdive Crucible’s update to Temper feels, personally, kinda like a loss.

@SaintSovereign @Fire can you give a bit of insight, why you decided to scrap it?

Would it be possible to revisit the concept? Especially when it comes to art and creation Vortexdive Crucible always struck me as one of the most important options.

EDIT: Can we make suggestions for other, slightly out of date modules?

(Song of Joy e. g. would be a great basis for a Master of Comedy  )

@SaintSovereign @Fire Some feedback of my own here.
Firstly, thank you for these new modules.
I love the artwork style on Worldwalker, Cool Hand and Free Agent. My kind of thing
It’s made me consider modules I previously hadn’t thought about and I love most of the updates!
More on this later I think.

For now, the only ‘negative’ feedback for me personally is that I had to drop out of an Engineering degree due to health issues and whilst I hope one day to go back, at the very least I wished to teach myself the various topics from textbooks. I was planning to add Marvel of Engineering to a Limitless type custom in the future to help me with learning those difficult topics.

Master Engineer looks like a great module, but seems to now be aimed at people who are already trained in engineering (a mastery module I guess, hence the name?) rather than those looking to study it.
I know there’s Limitless and Limitless ITW etc, but this was a module that stated that it specifically would help with learning engineering knowledge.

So I was wondering if you had any plans to re-introduce a module similar to that?
Same question for Science Adept I guess, as that was another one I was planning to run (for Physics, Chemistry and Biology study); not sure if that one is slated for revamp anytime soon?

That’s interesting.

I did not feel that.

Just seemed like mainly a name change. The substance of the module feels like it is being extended and amplified.

Here’s the original description:

with Vortexdive Crucible, you will be diving deep into your negative emotions and finding ways to use them. While many of our healing modules and subliminals help you master and use your negative emotions, Vortexdive Crucible ignores healing completely and instead focuses fully on taking you on an alchemical journey of engrossing yourself in your very own negative emotions and the immense power and potential they hold, mastering them and their power, and using them directly in productive ways – with absolutely no healing. Once you dive into the vortex, there is no option but to forge the power into something truly incredible.

The new one:

That surge of feeling can precede a decision you are proud of or a message you wish you had never sent. Give yourself more say in which direction it takes. There is a skill in recognizing what matters inside the intensity and choosing what deserves action.

Temper helps you develop that emotional judgment. Distinguish anger, hurt, envy, and disappointment, including the fatigue or overload that may be sharpening them. Find the boundary worth stating, the assumption worth checking, or the skill that envy has brought into focus. Create space before an impulsive confrontation and choose a response with a purpose: a request, a practical change, renewed effort, rest, or support.

Carry the decision beyond the surge. Follow through when the heat has faded, see what helped, and refine your approach. Add Temper to your custom to develop the ability to put a difficult feeling to considered use and give your next move the judgment it deserves.

That feels to me like the process is being described more from the viewpoint of real-world application. So people don’t get sidetracked or confused by the alchemy reference.

Giving people a more concrete sense of how it will be expressed.

Seems like two different poets describing a similar elephant. James Joyce vs. Ernest Hemingway describing Niagara Falls?

I guess I read the module descriptions and program descriptions as poetic jumping off points and not as exhaustive accounts. I always expect that our own minds will do a great deal to interpret, shape, and influence the ultimate outcome.

Thank you for posting the old description! (Tried to find it unsuccessfully the last hour.)

Rereading it, I’m not sure it is just a question of semantics.

I understood Vortexdive Crucible as a tool for sublimating “bad” emotions, making it perfect for creating art.

Temper reads like a tool to handle (when to hold back, timing) these emotions in a social and inner context.

But the distinction might be owed to the personal perspective.

@Fire if Torchbearer got a new script, what about the Synergy that contains it (Above All)? Would it also be updated?

And this question would be in general for modules included in synergies.

Thanks!
