Here’s my take on this:
It’s the exact opposite of what you said.
Look at narcissists — no matter what happens, they’re always perfect and their actions flawless in their own eyes. Now look at the victims of abuse and how the victim mentality works.
We don’t differ from either group in the most essential way: how we consciously interact with the world — or rather, with our unique image of the world that we all carry. We operate at the point of tangency between that image and our self-image. Naturally, the mind is far more than both images, yet our consciousness only has access to those two.
Both images are far from rational and heavily influenced by impulses from the “monster beneath” — the subconscious mind.
The new recon tech helps to “reason with” and guide that “monster beneath” in an incredible, yet simple and firm way.
It helps us build our kindgdom (both images) more than ever.
