Personal / Professional Life Segregation

How do you guys bring personal life / professional life separation? That is, how do you turn off the stress or the work happenings from affecting your personal life?

There are some enemies, some liars and cheats, who I don’t want to give any mental space to in my personal life.

I’m listening to: Khan St2 and Beyond Limitless right now.

Welcome @Metamorphosis to Subliminal Club.

Everything you encountered in life is there for a reason, don’t face them with an equal force rather the opposite.

Yes, work and personal (or private) life balance is key for a healthy and productive environment. It is essential to reflect on values and choices. I would spend time with my family, friends, and any healthy activities…

Personally I don’t recommend Khan in that situation, either you start with Love Bomb, this will give you meaning in work. Meaning is something you build into your life. Later you can go back to Khan.

Khan is much like preparing for heavy work, you need to be physical and emotionally fit to move forward. There is nothing wrong with Khan but it is much more fun to prepare than disappointed.

Thanks! I appreciate the response! I have done LBFH and the results were good. Personally, I never struggled with enjoying the work, in fact I am deeply passionate and Khan is helping me learn the game of power and to not fall victim to the games - it’s given me the confidence.

What I am looking for is practical examples / ideas about how one balances their life. Or more importantly, turn off the other when in current one. I find it difficult because I really do love my work. Personally I don’t want it to be 100% of my time.

On that note, any practical suggestions or subs that can ground you / keep you present?

I have a chessboard for every person as a mental image in my mind.

Every person stands on a field
It can be a positive board or a negative
Depending on the person.

So I have many boards
And I can press pause or start on every board

Find a picture that works for you and you have control over it naturally

I do the reverse - I meld my personal and professional life. I treat my personal life as work and make sure that I’m enjoying it and using it as rejuvenating time as much as possible so that I’m fresh for work.

It becomes my JOB to get 8-9 hours of sleep a night. It’s my JOB to hang out with my girlfriend on the weekends and enjoy my time with her and/or tell her about whatever’s bothering me so I can be free of it. It’s my JOB to go out, socialize, have fun, hike, etc., and then come back to work on Monday revitalized so I can out perform everyone who comes back to work on Monday hungover and drained from all the drinking, partying, fast food, over-caffeination, youtube, TV, movies they watched.

@Azriel since you’re still grinding away on being #1 at sales this is certainly an advantage

In a busy world, it’s not uncommon to have distressing thoughts and at any point to feel ungrounded and overwhelmed.

LBFH | Whenever I’m too busy I always has this thing to switch to take a short break. I prioritize my physical wellness through sleep, nutrition, and exercise. I have a bicycle near my office and I will took it to the park while listening to my favorite music.

Focus on what you want to become.

The old memories are not going to leave you behind instead it will visit you in the coming future. Your dominant emotions might trigger this.

What you conclude about yourself is what you’ll project on other people.

So when you’re listening to LBFH, you’ll learned to love yourself, then you will value others, you will realize that your self-worth is a reflection of everyone else’s self-worth.

It is very important to prepare before going further. Being mindful on this will shift your thoughts and create a new You. You need to experienced every changes, small or big.

So when you listen to Khan, every stage has a different experience and a purpose.

Whereas if you jump to the last stage, it might abruptly trigger some unwanted emotions, and you’ll end up being disappointed.

It isn’t about how long you stayed on certain titles but importantly how you make up with those experiences.
