NSE core in custom needed?

If all the cores being put into a custom are already new generation, with NSE scripting, is having an additional “new X experience core” needed or advisable still?

I have a custom with 4 cores I’m about to make, and I’m hesitant about having an NSE core on top of that making it 5, as I’ve never gone beyond 2 cores to begin with haha

For context, the cores are Love Bomb, Sanguine, Alchemist Singularity, and Genesis Happiness & Joy

I was thinking of adding either new spiritual experience, new emotional healing experience, or new result enhancing experience to it, mostly just to give the modules I picked that NSE “boost” so to speak

What do the more experienced custom creators here think?

Would also love to hear from @AnswerGroup

My opinion here…

I have a custom with Daredevil, LB and Sanguine. I started listening to happiness when it was released and I can tell that it can easily cover most bases from Sanguine and/or Love Bomb freeing up a space for you.
I would suggest reading thoroughly through the sales page descriptions (if you havent) and check for which two out of those 3 cores cover the most bases, without overloading.

Honestly that was my feeling about Sanguine vs Genesis H&J as well, but at a glance there is enough difference between them that I thought to include both

Sanguine gives me grounded vibes, while GHJ gives me elevated vibes.

Love Bomb is love, and Singularity is energy.

It’s really such a perfect mixture for me that I’m hesitant to get rid of any of them haha

Also the custom would be less than 20 modules, currently sitting at 16 with cores included

Then go for it mate!! It strikes me as if theres no need for a NSE core, since literally GHJ and Singularity are brand new, meaning full fledged NSE. Sanguine and LB already are NSE too.

You could also just replace one core with a module that hits closest to home for what you want (without the overallness of cores) like everpresent or joi di vivre

Here are the modules, what do you think - no need for an extra NSE core? @Joa23

Love Bomb core

Divine Self-Image

Light of Humility

Path of Forgiveness

Sanguine core

Virtue Series: Patience

Emotions Unfettered

Virtue Series: Diligence

Alchemist Singularity core

Faith Unyielding

Love Without Attachment

Immortal’s Blade

Genesis Happiness Joy core

Gratitude Embodiment

Virtue Series: Hope

Courage Reclaimed

Note - I know a lot of the modules here are covered by the cores, but the intention is to “double down” on that aspect

E.g. love bomb and path of forgiveness, or Genesis happiness joy and gratitude embodiment

Necessary or no?

“While the NSE is a feature in many of our major titles, this specific version is tailored exclusively for custom use as a core module, enriched with more scripting than its counterparts in major titles.”

I’ll tell you something man I only run customs with four cores and in reality while the on paper perspective is that it’s too dense, if the cores play nice then it doesn’t matter
So for instance you can see a way in which a extra core in the NSE line would “tidy up”’ the rest and make it more streamlined or focused then definitely you’ll enjoy it

Honest opinion based on my limited experience with The Art of Happiness and Joy? Obviously biased and subjective.

Ive reached a state in which I feel this new title is all I need and I can drop my Daredevil/Sanguine/LB custom and also drop EmpD… I feel that is the only title I want to listen to and that it covers all the bases.
Will that apply to you too? I dont know, maybe, maybe not. I think its worth considering the idea of running the new sub for a while, get a taste of it, notice how it works for you and then decide whether or not you need to adjust your custom design. Take things out or to put others in.

Might not be the answer you were looking for, but its the one I have. I hope its useful somehow.

I think you’re right actually, I’m jumping the gun and getting impatient with the results

I’m gonna run the new GHJ solo for a while and feel it out

Maybe I’ll do the same with the other cores one by one, dedicate a while cycle to each one, to see if I really still need them

Lol Ive been there before. Now I take weeks or even months to craft a custom, changing and updating the design, while I test the cores.
Sometimes they end up being quite different from the first draft, sometimes they dont change that much in essence, many times I end up not wanting them anymore, they die in some journal never coming to life.

Definetely not a “need” but you can if you want to. It would be nice if one of your title in your stack (inside or outside of the custom) has NSE scripting.

I just tell you my latest approach when it comes to customs:

Build a 2 core custom with 10 or 12 modules stack it with a major title if i want.

Keeping the custom 2 cores max allows me to stack it with something else without getting overloaded and i can take more dynamic choices…

Let’s say if i build a custom with Gaming Mastery X3 & Limitless

I can stack this custom with Mind’s Eye
After the next washout I can stack this custom with ASBR
After the next washout I can stack this custom with Genesis: Mogul

Etc…

If i instead build the custom with 3 cores like this: Gaming Mastery, Limitless & Mind’s Eye i was going to much more limited. Because stacking this custom with some other title likely to overload me much more and cause recon.

Fire once said to me “If you want NSE, add the core”
I think it’s because the core covers much more than the topics of the Major. Let’s say you add a module that adds rather than accentuates a feature of the Major, than there’s no corresponding NSE scripting so it will not be filtered through NSE.
Since you can’t know which features are exactly present, you don’t know whether you need the NSE core or not. Only because objectives are identical doesn’t necessarily mean the way to get there is identical (and I even don’t know if that plays a role after all).

I guess that’s why Fire said to add the NSE Core if I want to be sure to have full NSE coverage.
