This looks like the issue.
And it’s not unusual. Lots of us lose touch with what we want or what motivates or inspires us. And it’s a bit like surfing because even when you have found it for a while, you’re still going to lose it again. Then you just need to work to find it and to get on top of it again.
Here’s the thing:
When it comes to connecting with your motivation and inspiration, DOING STUFF is usually much more efficient than THINKING ABOUT STUFF.
It just works much faster.
Schedule real-life activities that expose you to things that have a chance of reconnecting you with what you value. Even if it’s not 100% perfect, just getting physically close to one of your THINGS is going to be enough to ignite the flame.
And that is the goal here. You just want to ignite the flame of your motivation.
Without it, it’s very hard to gauge progress.
In all likelihood, you’re actually already making really good progress with your subliminal, but without a meaningful context for testing it, how would you even know?
A lot of people here (including me, sometimes) make Subliminal Plans and Subliminal Goals when what we need is to be making Life Goals and then just using subliminals to help us with them.
Sometimes before you can get what you want, you first have to know what you want.
You mentioned up above that you’d worked with Dragon Reborn in the past. And clarifying 1) who you are, 2) what you’re capable of, and 3) what you want is the strength of DR.
If you do opt to take a break to run Ascended Mogul for a while (usually a good idea), it would also be wise to break out Dragon Reborn Ultima.
Play just those two and nothing else. Then dedicate the next 98 days to doing REAL WORLD LIFE EXPERIMENTS to explore what you want and where you want to go.
98 days. That’s 14 weeks. Just over one season. Just over 1/4 of a year. A good time for a little bit of metamorphosis.
Give yourself the time you need, but every week schedule at least two REAL LIFE ACTIVITIES that expose you to something you think might be interesting, cool, or special. It might be a lecture. It might be a party. It might be a movie. A trip to the museum. A talk or conversation with someone you think may be doing cool things. It might be taking a trip to see something you think ISN’T cool and that you would like to change or improve.
When you take those trips or do those activities, treat it as research. Be the ‘anthropologist from Mars’ and just allow yourself to take it in without needing to achieve anything. You’re really doing it in order to learn more about who you are.
There are some things (many things) that you can’t do just by thinking by yourself. We can’t tickle ourselves for example. My point is just that physical/experiential factors sometimes make more of a difference than we would at first guess.
Okay. More ideas for you.
