To be honest I don’t remember my previous username😅

I did get a message relating to this a gentle reminder from our good friend Malkuth.

I browse from my mobile could not see the option to show previous names.

@RVconsultant is this hiddem from web mobile ?

Thank you for speaking up! It’s a good question because I’m wondering if there are more people with this question. If the below process doesn’t work on your mobile device, perhaps someone else can explain what they did.

Okay everyone. If you’re not able to find this, I’ll do my best to explain it. I’m also using a PC, rather than a mobile.

I want to make this absolutely clear. I’m providing detailed steps below to ensure I’m giving all the exact steps I did with the hope that anyone of any skill set can use to help them. However because I’m a moderator, I might have a different set of menu options than you. So if this doesn’t work, perhaps someone else can give another way.

1 I found a post I wrote.

2 I clicked on my user name.

3 A bubble came up with an abridged view of my profile.

4 I clicked on the avatar of my profile in that bubble.

5 The page I was taken to shows a list of my recent posts.

6 I looked at the options at the top, which included: Summary, Activity, Notifications, etc.

7 I found the option that said Preferences.

8 I clicked on Preferences.

9 I looked to the left to see another set of items such as: Account, Security, Profile, etc.

10 I clicked Profile.

11 On that page is a section that says About Me.

12 I typed in Former names: None as a test message.

13 I scrolled to the bottom of the page.

14 I found a button that said: Save Changes

15 I clicked on that button.

16 I got a message that said it saved.

17 I went back to the forum to find a message I wrote.

18 I clicked on my user name.

19 A bubble came up with an abridged view of my profile.

20 I can see the message of Former names: None

If anyone is having any questions about the process of posting your previous names on your profile, please speak up.

Done.

On the phone it works exactly the same way.

I think @RockyHandsome misunderstood and thought there’s an option you have to check :white_check_mark: and it’s shows all your previous usernames automatically. At least that’s how I understood his post.

done, I have updated my profile with the old name

Thank you!

You have had more than a few names. Time is important to remember them.

To @Geoff 's point:

Perhaps also:

Muay Thai Guy
goofy
Dr_Who
BlackAvenger

@GoldenTiger were you the only GoldenTiger, or did you share that name?

Was there another name in addition to black_box?

Yes, the first name I started thee forum with. Unfortunately, I’ve tried to remember it, but I can’t and I didn’t have it recorded anywhere either.

Remember that one of the main intentions for this new policy is continuity. It’s been confusing for me (and others) trying to remember who was/is who. People start reading someone’s journey for inspiration or comradery, and then “where did they go”?

Please think what that name might be.

I’m not going to penalize people who can’t remember, however we don’t want people abusing the phrase “I can’t remember”.

If petitioning for a privacy issue, just post that privacy is a concern for you, and someone will reach out to you.

Also I get that people might want to change their names for various reasons. One being that their journey they are on has changed them, and a new name is better able to represent their change or who they will become. That’s fine by me. The continuity of that journey via name changes can be helpful to those of us cheering you on. Despite my strict attitude and demeanor that can mimic ai, I really do want you all to succeed. Perhaps I’ve transcended my programming
