My new idea for Ultimas

I have been playing around with a new idea with Ultimas. I have 14 Ultimas, and I like them all. I came up with the idea of combining two Ultimas that are synergistic by playing 1/2 a loop of each. These are my ideas:

Morning Workout: 1/2 Beast Unleashed, 1/2 Beast Within
Before School Starts: 1/2 Beyond Limitless, 1/2 Commander
Wealth Motivation: 1/2 RICH, 1/2 Limitless Executive (or The Executive)
Calling a Girl: 1/2 Love Bomb, 1/2 True Social
Going out on a Date: 1/2 True Social, 1/2 Libertine (or PSIT)
Escalation Combo: 1/2 PSIT, 1/2 Diamond
Bedroom Combo: 1/2 Sex Mastery, 1/2 Diamond
Healing: 1/2 Love Bomb, 1/2 Dragon Reborn

So…I play a single combo one hour before I need it. No more than two combos a day and spread out the combos as much as possible.

I’m not sure how that would work, as I don’t know how much script redundancy there is between the first and last halves of these.

If you have the budget, I’d try out Custom Ultimas (could use Mosaic or something else as the 3rd module) so you get the full exposure from both at once. Still one full hour of listening without a risk of not getting the necessary scripting from one or both the ultimas.

PS: I like the thought you put into those combos! I’m bookmarking this list to steal use in my own custom Ultimas!

Might want to simplify it a little more, maybe have a playlist to play for two week then the next 2 weeks

This is a good point @Sinusoid Although I have thought about running an Ultima for 30 minutes, the above quote is why I have not done so.

Note: I don’t know for sure, but based on my limited experience, I think RICH may be sufficient and LE or Executive might be redundant. However if you want, I would recommend LE and then Unrelenting Wealth Motivation and Energy, and then Wealth Limit Destroyer.

Now why not DR? I used DR Ultima that came with the version at the main shop. I listened to 1 loop and had to take a 12 day subliminal break.

I prodded the Dragon and got bit. Ouch.

I understand your idea, but I already have 6 customs and not enough time to work them all in. The plan is to use what I have.

Anyway, I am going to try my idea and see how it works. If I hear from @SaintSovereign or @Fire that it is a bad idea to play 1/2 an Ultima, then I will reconsider.

I am instituting cost controls right now. With 6 customs, 14 Ultimas, and Khan and Dragon, the emphasis is on creatively using what I already have.

Fair enough. I understand that 100%. That’s why I use that “if it’s in your budget” when throwing ideas out there. I love the choices you came up with. Let us know your tests go!

Thanks. I have Mastermind in my customs. It is driving me to experiment with what I’ve got, and I came up with this idea. Also, I don’t react well to two straight hours of Ultimas.

Go Ultima Squared.

Play them both simultaneously. Should work well, given your choices are synergistic.

Do only 1 combo a day for the first two weeks. Even better, start with alternate days.

Edit:

A) Older & newer files have different volumes, so adjust accordingly. Eg: RICH > TS.

B) If the chosen two are both louder files, it may be hard to play them together – even on 1/10 volume setting. You might need a player that supports 15+ levels (or dual controls, like player AND headphone).

If you mean play them both at the exact same time, this has been recommended against with subliminals.

Thanks for the ideas, but I like the half-and-half idea and will continue to test it out. I am also having success running Dragon on repeat overnight.

Yeah. Playing half isn’t recommended either, but if I had to choose, I’d say simulcasting is a better experiment. Especially, if escalated slowly.

I’ve ample experience with playing up to 5 Q files simultaneously, with measurable effects. Had to do it back when I couldn’t run Qs for more than a couple hours a day.

In my subjective logic, 3-5 Qs are no more dense than a Terminus Custom.

Ultimas are somewhat denser than Qs, hence the reference to Squared.

Full Disclosure: I don’t have experience with overlaying Ultimas, just cause I don’t use them much.

Playing simultaneous files was done by many users back in New Dawn days.
And it is possible that several of us are now ready to do so with Q.
These days though, we’re more likely to opt for Terminus Customs.

Don’t do this ya’ll. It’s not possible with Q and Ultima powered subs without causing major reconciliation and stonewalling. 3-5 Qs are much denser than a Terminus Custom. We’ve discovered a way to maximize results with minimal loops, but it’ll be later this year before we launch that.

Since you are here… Do you think Limitless executive and RICH would mix well in a custom with tech prodigy, ultimate writer, sultan, and trailblazer?

Yes, that sounds like a phenomenal creativity / innovation mix, though it’s a tad bit unfocused with tech prodigy AND ultimate writer being in the same sub. It shouldn’t hurt it too bad, though.
