Most resting activities [efficiency]

What are the activities you found that are the most relaxing for your mind that take less than 30 minutes?

I am currently studying long hours and I am looking for activities that recharges me in the quickest amount of time.

Until now I have on my list:

  • 20 min power nap
  • Meditation
  • Quick walk outside
  • Showering + Music
  • Dancing to music
  • Quick Workout

I am looking for more suggestions as at the end of the day I am getting bored by those breaks and end up watching YT or start scrolling on this forum. The problem is these two activities (pretty much everything that involves staring at a computer screen) are not letting my mind relax AT ALL, for example the more YT videos I watch, the more rest I need to take afterwards.

Thanks for any input! Especially looking forward to creative ones.

Going for a walk, especially if it is near a lot of trees for some reason.

For me it is getting rid of tension patterns so congested energy can leave, through deep meditative practice. Walking, yoga and of course a good cold beer, with some good meat

What activities are those?

hot/cold showers
sauna/steam room
reading a book for enjoyment
socializing for play and fun
sex

some of these might not be time sensitive actually.

For me it’s really important to go to bed early. I fall asleep at around 10pm. Its very difficult to fall asleep that early, but it’s one of the most important things I can do for myself even though I’m a natural night owl.

Pomodoros are nice for studying… you study for 25 minutes and take a 5 minute break. Some people watch youtube on the break which I think is stupid. I either do a quick meditstion, quick exercise, or just relax and stop working my brain so hard.

The 45 min session with a 10 minute break is a nice alternative.

I think one of the best activities is phoning a friend… getting that social muscle lubricated.

All of those activities are solitary. But phoning a friend every once in a while to check in can be really nice.

Going to new environments rather than the same place all the time can also be refreshing.
